Perhaps this is just an attempt to justify a 'there is no market for streaming video' position. The fact that Netflix is doing it is of no consequence... like gigabit ethernet and Google
If it was just Verizon doing it, I'd agree with you. With Redbox involved, I'm not so sure. If this is designed to fail, Verizon had better be paying them lots of money to compensate them for flushing a viable market down the toilet.
