First off thanks for reading, I really do need help! I recently noticed that I was having massive lag issues in my favorite game, League of Legends. After going through my computer and contacting their customer support they recommended I run a tracert to 216.133.234.193 to see what the issue is. Here are a few of my results.

As you can see somewhere in the last 3 steps my ms goes through the roof. When I contacted Cox support they recommended that I reset Internet Explorer to defaults... even though I never use Internet Explorer for anything. What can be done to fix this sort of issue. |

| Uh why are you connecting to a server in cali? 90-100ms is normal from east to west coast, and the spikes could simply be the router your pinging doesn't prioritize icmp pings. |

well looking at your trace route looks like the issue as at the other end with internap piering |

Could be the servers are getting overloaded along the route or the game servers are overloaded. Either way it's likely outside the scope of what cox can handle because they do not own/control the servers or switches where the pings are high.
Its a grin and bare with it and hope the problem subsides or start contacting the people on the other end. |
