 | bridging speedstream 4300 I've read through many threads about this and am trying to get the ps3 working with it. i followed the explicit instructions on the windstream PDF regarding bridging, changing that one value from 32 to 35, deleting this, adding that etc etc.
however when i do all that and reboot, the modem only has 3 lights flashing, the right 2 lights dont come on at all.
and of course i cannot use the web interface to see what is up because thats no longer active. so i have to reset the modem to factory
also i took the time to enter all the TCP/UDP i was supposed to but that has nothing to do with the modem itself not synching i suppose? |

|
 | i dont know what that means is the problem i guess. been digging through the forum a bit more and one post said keep dhcp on but i turned it off becuase the windstream PDF said to. i followed that PDF to the letter.
so when my 2 lights on the modem didnt come on after following those instructions, is it possible that there was really a connection there? but the laptop nor ps3 didnt have any connectivity |

 | does anyone know for sure when you bridge a 4300 if the internet and activity lights will remain dark?
if they are supposed to light up, i did something wrong even though followed the windstream pdf |

WindstreamPremium,VIP join:2009-03-31 Twinsburg, OH kudos:33 | The internet light should be off, the activity can be off or on depending on the firmware. But the Internet light will not be lit if you are properly bridged. Please review : »Windstream DSL FAQ »How do I bridge the Gigaset/Sagem 4300?
Post again if you need more assistance. Sorry I didn't see this thread earlier.

 | ty for the reply. it will be a while until i get to play with the settings more and ill definitely post back when i need more help.
i worried i had the thing was not bridged when the light went off. now that i know thats correct, i can play with router settings and try to get this ps3 working right. i lost all connectivity when i did the bridge so my router was obviously not correctly setup
i hope you get a nice raise, you are so helpful on here! your boss needs to see these threads! |
