I can't remember the last time I did an Apexis daily.

I did it a lot more on the first toon. Second toon basically just did it for the ring quest, and I expect that's what I will do for the 3rd toon as well. I guess if I was desperate for gear I can grind out an apexis piece, but a lot of their itemization seems kinda crappy (versatility... comon...)

Haven't done a daily in days but I have 20K right now, all those missions that award 1K, plus all the ones picked up on work orders.

Heirlooms with no upgrades can scale up to level 60.
Heirlooms with 1 upgrade level can scale up to level 90.
Heirlooms with 2 upgrade levels can scale up to level 100.
Old heirlooms that have been upgraded to scale to level 85 are grandfathered in with 1 upgrade level.
New Heirlooms for the neck slot are now available and allows the character to cast a heal once a minute. This heal shares a cooldown with potions and Healthstones.
Alternate methods for obtaining Heirlooms and Heirloom upgrade tokens are also available.
Argent Tournament sells Heirloom upgrade tokens for Champion's Seals.
Some world events now sell Heirloom upgrade tokens for currency obtained through the event.
Collecting 35 heirloom items awards a special mount that's usable by level 1 characters.

Garrisons, Followers, and Outposts
New Garrison Visitors
One of five new visitors may visit each day offering a quest to anyone that visits players with a Tier 3 Garrison.
Defeat a dungeon boss: Awards a bag with a chance to contain a level 630, 645, or 655 item token.
Defeat a raid boss (weekly quest): Awards a bag with a chance to contain a level 645, or 655 item token.
Bounty (intended for 3 or more players): Defeat a named elite NPC for gold with a chance (once a day) to obtain Bloody Stack of Invitations.
Relic: Complete a series of quests for gold or Garrison Resources. Completing a relic quest unlocks it as a potential mission for your followers. Complete all 6 relic missions to unlock Harrison Jones as a follower!
Profession: Turn-in tradeskill reagents for Primal Spirits and work order tradeskill reagents.
Summon a Raid or World Boss
Players may find an item while completing a Garrison Invasion, Dungeon, or Raid daily quest from the Garrison visitor that that allows them to summon one of six new raid or world boss in the Garrison.
New Garrison Vendor
There’s a new vendor coming to your Garrison who allows you to spend Garrison Resources on Follower Trait Retraining Guides or Follower Ability Retraining Manuals.

General
Removed the requirement to have a character that's level 55 or higher to unlock the Death Knight as a playable class.

Pet Battle
Level 100 characters with a Tier-3 Garrison will now receive an item in the mail that increases a single Battle Pet's level to 25.

PvP
Ashran
Grand Marshal Tremblade and High Warlord Volrath no longer award Conquest Points when defeated.

Battlegrounds and Arenas
A new queuing system is in place to help improve matchmaking for Oceanic arena teams hosted on Australian game servers. This new system will wait for a predetermined amount of time to match an Oceanic arena team against another Oceanic team before looking for opponents from the broader North American player pool. There's an expectation that queue times may be a slightly longer as a result but the increase should not be significant.
Bonus Honor received from winning a Battleground should now correctly convert into XP for characters that are below level 100.
Eye of the Storm: Icon for the flag should no longer be incorrectly displaying in the center of the map even though it's been picked up by another player.

Professions
Cooking
New self-only cooking recipes have been added for food that gives 125 bonus to a stat.

UI
Players now receive a banner notification after defeating a dungeon, raid, or world boss in Warlords of Draenor or Mists of Pandria.

Monk (Forums / Skills / Talent Calculator)
Tiger Strikes Hotfix
We recently found a significant bug with Tiger Strikes for all Monks, and wanted to explain the incoming fixes that will resolve it.

The bug itself was twofold. First off, Tiger Strikes was incorrectly able to trigger from unsuccessful autoattacks (such as those that miss, or have been dodged or parried). However, it was NOT able to trigger from Multistrikes. We’ll be fixing Tiger Strikes to its intended behavior: it will no longer activate on unsuccessful autoattacks, but will be able to activate from successful Multistrikes.

Fixing those bugs will result in an overall damage gain for all Monks, so we’ll be making a couple other adjustments:

For Brewmasters, we’re going to reduce the damage done by Keg Smash by 20%. We felt that Brewmaster DPS was too strong already, and the Tiger Strikes fix only pushes them further.
Windwalkers and Mistweavers were a little weak, which is why we’re increasing Rising Sun Kick’s damage amplification debuff from 10% to 20% in 6.1. The Tiger Strikes fix will be a small damage increase on top of that, but we’re going to keep an eye on where Windwalkers and Mistweavers end up as a result of it before making any further adjustments if necessary.

These changes were not able to make it into the final 6.1 build, but will be hotfixed in shortly after 6.1 goes live.

Can we get an eta on the zen sphere detonate fix?
That's fixed in patch 6.1.

We did also find that Tiger Strikes was incorrectly using the lower dual-wield proc chance when Mistweavers were equipping one-handed items in conjunction with off-hand items. We’ll be fixing that to give the full 10% chance while in Crane Stance when these hotfixes go live.

We’ve also discovered that the tooltip for Tiger Strikes is incorrectly stating that the chance for it to activate is 6.25% while dual-wielding. The actual chance is 5% (and has been since Warlords of Draenor released). The tooltip will be updated in a future patch.

If you don't mind me asking, is there anything you're going to do to address the Roll Perk bug? It increases the speed you roll by 25%, but also unintentionally reduces the distance traveled by 25% as well.
That should also be fixed in this round of hotfixes. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

Rogue (Forums / Skills / Talent Calculator)
Combat Rogue's PvP 4-piece Set Bonus
The hotfix for Combat Rogue's PvP 4-piece set bonus was implemented and will now provide the Cold Blood effect after using Vanish. Note that the tooltip will incorrectly display text for the old set bonus. This will be fixed in a future client-side patch.

Cold Blood - Combat Rogue PvP 4-piece set bonus
When you use Vanish, you gain 5 Combo Points and the critical strike chance of your next Sinister Strike, Eviscerate, Revealing Strike, or Ambush is increased by 100%.

Blackrock Foundry Missions
This is stupid, if you really need normal kills to get your mythic box.
You do not need to go back to a lower difficulty to be eligible for higher difficulty Raid Missions for followers.

Example: You don't need any Normal difficulty raid kills for your followers to qualify for Mythic Raid Missions.

Don't be stupid. We're told the way the system is supposed to work, and it's not working as advertised.
Source? The system is working correctly.

All information I've read up until today has been that you clear LFR enough you get normal. You clear normal enough you get heroic. You clear heroic enough you get mythic. You clear mythic enough you get mythic and some coin.
Without the source of what led the quoted poster to believe the system was working incorrectly I'm unable to investigate if the info they got was correct or not.

For the sake of further clarification, Highmaul progression is not required to unlock Blackrock Foundry Raid Missions. Progressing in Highmaul provides an alternate way to unlock Blackrock Foundry Raid Missions, but it's not required.

people with 30 BRF heroic kills, including blackhand, ARE NOT GETTING THE MYTHIC CACHE. how many heroic kills do we need. can some of these kills be in the same lockout.

I've not seen a SINGLE report of ANYONE getting the mythic cache who also didn't have 8 highmaul mythic kills.
Were the kills loot eligible? Killing the same boss multiple times in the same week does not count as a loot eligible kill. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

Fur Trader: No other Traders Available Today?
Intended?
Yes, and it's region-wide.

Of the new Garrison visitors who is at your Garrison is random, and what they offer is randomly selected each day, but that same selection applies to that NPC regardless of whose Garrison they're at for the day. So for example, you have the raid quest NPC, and it's for Brackenspore, and anyone else who has the raid NPC for the day also has that same quest. Tomorrow the raid NPC will have a new random quest, and anyone who has the raid NPC will all have the same quest.

The idea is that you're visiting your friends and guildies Garrisons to get access to each of the 5 types of NPC's each day, but that you're not needing to visit a hundred Garrisons to complete all of their potential quests. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

Patch Note Changes
"A new vendor has been added allowing players to use Garrison Resource to purchase items to upgrade Followers"

They don't mean the guy that starts invasions, right?
He sells nothing that is a guaranteed upgrade for your follower whatsoever.

Maybe I'm missing something.
The note was updated to the following:

"There’s a new vendor coming to your Garrison who allows you to spend Garrison Resources on Follower Trait Retraining Guides or Follower Ability Retraining Manuals."

So, no. It wasn't a lie. Patch notes are an ongoing effort and we update them as quickly as possible when changes come in. This one was updated this morning to reflect the correct functionality.

Sorry for any confusion the note may have caused.

See, Blizzard never lies. They just tell you something then change the information when needed.
A lie would be with intent to deceive. There was no intent to deceive. I understand the frustration. As with any development cycle, things can change relatively fast and miscommunications can happen. We do our best to minimize those and when they do occur, we try to correct them right away. I also didn't try to deny that it had been different before. Yes, it was worded differently. Yes, the note had been incorrect. Yes, it's been since corrected. We'll keep working to make sure these errors don't happen in the future, but there's no guarantee they'll never happen again.

Proper etiquette when editing documents is to explain any revisions. Simply putting correction: or update: would have made all this a non-issue. Simply changing it smacks of deception and trying to fly under the radar. That's the problem I have, not that there was a mistake. Mistakes happen. Trying to hide them is another whole issue.
We document changes in the PTR notes this way as changes occur. These changes were made to the live notes which serve as a "new" document. It's a strange sort of beast in that, if we change things to show edits, it implies those edits came after publication vs. during which could confuse people who haven't been following along with the PTR notes. They just want to know how things work, not how they were documented before it went live. (If that makes sense.) There's no "hiding" anything, it's just a side effect of this sort of documentation and the anomalies that go with them. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

In 6.0 we performed an audit of which animations each spell used. Some changed which can be jarring, but they were intended. (WarcraftDevs)
So the "buff" animation on Deep Freeze & Counterspell is intended? Looks awful..
What you're referring to as the "buff" animation is not for buffs, but for indirect spells, which includes buffs. (Celestalon)
Deep and CS seem pretty direct to me. /confused
Direct typically means something is coming out of your hands, like a Frostbolt. Comet Storm is very indirect. (Celestalon)

Druid (Forums / Skills / Talent Calculator)
Will Glyph of Guided Stars make Starfall now hit players capturing a flag if they're affected by moonfire/sunfire?
No. If a player is currently capturing a point, Starfall will not be cast on them. (WarcraftDevs)

Chance of having Glyph of Treant hide weapons? I feel less awesome tree with a staff attached to me.
You make a solid case and we appreciate the feedback! We'll consider this. (WarcraftDevs)

Mage (Forums / Skills / Talent Calculator)
Arcane PvP 4set buff can be purged. Intended? Why isn't Arcane Power immune to purge? Can't purge Dark Soul?
This is intended. Many PvP set bonuses that provide magical buffs can be purged. (WarcraftDevs)

Ice Floes(6.1) isn't working with Blizzard, Evo, Missles, & Frostfire Bolt(Probably more) Intentional?
No, these are just bugs, and will be resolved. Mounting with it was interesting, but it caused too many issues. (WarcraftDevs)

Rogue (Forums / Skills / Talent Calculator)
Rogues ability Death from Above kicks players out of the pvp coliseum when used and treats it like we lost. Any word on a fix?
This will be addressed in 6.1. (WarcraftDevs)

Shaman (Forums / Skills / Talent Calculator)
Are we ever going to get a fix for Liquid Magma attacking CC'd targets?
Liquid Magma is a spell that should be used at opportune moments, but it can intentionally hit CC’d targets. (WarcraftDevs)

Will instant EQ only trigger when Chain Lightning hits 3+ targets? In other words, will I benefit from this change in PvP?
Correct, as described in the Patch Notes, and we certainly hope you benefit from using it in PvP! (WarcraftDevs)
How can we benefit in PvP (arenas)? Useless in 2s, and good luck stacking a team in 3s. Sad face! Good for RBGs only...
Pets and such count. Many 3-target abilities get significant use, even in 2s. (Celestalon)

Warlock (Forums / Skills / Talent Calculator)
learned greenfire, Dreadsteed with Glyph of Nightmares still leave red flames when cross water. it's a BUG?
This is a known bug that we hope to have addressed in the near future. (WarcraftDevs)

Art
any plans for fixing helm clipping issues with hoods for female humans in 6.1?
We constantly look to address clipping bugs, and we're always happy to get names of items that are acting up. (WarcraftDevs)

Will the guild cloak transmog to some cloaks now fully show instead of being transparent on the bottom 2/3?
We’ll look into it, thanks for the report! (WarcraftDevs)

Character / Items
Will [Automated Critter Defense Cannon] become a Toy in 6.1?
Consumables don’t go in the toybox, but we can consider creating a non-consumable version in the future. (WarcraftDevs)

Could we get the ability to downgrade token drops from older raids? Would be nice to have access to MoP LFR gear for transmog.
No, but you can queue into old LFR instances from Auridormi/Lorewalkers to get that gear. (WarcraftDevs)

Is the heirloom mount speed disabled in Battlegrounds without training? It would surely hurt the 19-10 twinks.
Yes, it is disabled in that bracket. (WarcraftDevs)

Stats
Are you planning to change the way versatility works atm? peeps say you dislike it and want to make it more viable.
(1) Versatility is working out well. It's a consistently good (albeit not the best) stat for everyone, which we're happy with. (WarcraftDevs)
(2) Based on what we've seen in the progression race, many guilds are sacrificing a tiny bit of DPS for damage reduction. (WarcraftDevs)

PvP
Would love to hear how people are making use of skirmishes. Mostly solo queue? 2s only? 3s only? Both? Low level? Max level? (holinka)

I pick up things in ashran I don't want because not picking them up puts them in my mailbox without being able to delete mail.
Thanks! We know this has been an issue for many and we’ve taken some steps to improve it in 6.1. (WarcraftDevs)

Specifically Cyclone being dispellable, because its basically uncounterable, or Cyclone sharing a DR with mage CC.
That DR change would just mean the complaints would shift from Mage Druid synergy to Lock Druid synergy. (holinka)
fear already drs with clone.
We're not going to put it on two DR categories. (holinka)

Patch 6.1 - Ashran Changes
Originally Posted by Blizzard (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

Our primary goal with Ashran was to create a zone where two factions were competing against each other throughout the zone. The average visitor in Ashran has two motivations: earn 200 conquest to fulfill the Ashran bonus portion of their conquest cap, and kill the faction boss for their daily chance at loot from the Gleaming Ashmaul Strongbox. Prior to 6.1, players could earn that conquest by either killing the faction boss or by doing events. We were allowing the same reward to be earned at two different places at the same time.

This setup does not encourage competition. It encourages collusion. As a result, an implicit truce had emerged between the factions, where the Alliance claimed victory in the Road of Glory while Horde wandered the event areas unopposed for conquest. Both sides earned their reward in an efficient manner without any fighting. But Ashran is not a place for truces. Ashran is a place for killing. We removed conquest from the bosses knowing full well this meant the Alliance would be forced to compete against the Horde in events for conquest. Furthermore, we knew that facing new opposition at events, the Horde would once again engage in the central road.

Of course, we acknowledge that killing a faction boss only to receive Aspirant gear isn’t very motivating. As a result, we’ll be removing Aspirant gear from the Gleaming Ashmaul Strongbox. That means it will always award either Combatant (ilevel 620/675) or Gladiator (ilevel 660/690) gear.

We are already seeing increased competition between the two factions in both events and the main road. In every Ashran instance, the population of both factions is tightly controlled to maintain equal numbers. Your faction has the opportunity to compete, but it is up to you to earn victory. Good luck and have fun!

It might not be important for you at this stage. And that's okay. You might be one of the people who should be focusing more on winning the events over the Horde for the Conquest Points.

I guess that's why the que times are down, nobody wants to go in there anymore!
There were fairly notable changes in 6.1 to how Ashran instances are populated, the goal being to reduce the unacceptable wait times.

But what about the people who have no need for Honor or Conquest points? Are we expected to avoid Ashran now to simply do arenas or rated bgs? Why should I, who have full conq gear, take another step into Ashran?
Perhaps it depends on whether you enjoy the experience you're having there. Ultimately that's important.

Hey Zarhym.... Heres a novel idea for your fail ashran pvp.
Stopped reading right at the end of your first sentence.

A lot of people in this community have opinions to share. You might consider whether your approach to sharing yours is in the least bit palatable.

Are you ignoring feedback because it's negative? At the end of the day, there is a reason the feedback is so negative towards Ashran. Maybe you should be more open to all types of feedback, as it stands Ashran hasn't improved since launch.
We read plenty of negative feedback all the time. When it gets to an insulting level there's no point in wasting time on it. Many others can phrase their objections in reasonable and constructive ways. The less time we spend negotiating with the most hyperbolic and cynical people in the community, the more attention we can pay to the people making honest attempts to share their perspectives in civil fashion.

It's not a complicated, diabolical, or arrogant concept. There has to be a practicality to sifting through opinions in such a large community.

Given my previous post, I feel this is an opportune time to provide a simple example.

With the event timers as LONG as they are now, and often times watching groups or being in groups doing nothing but sit at a spot with nothing at all happening because they have no interest in doing a road push, the LONG wait for anything to happen at all with any kind of reward is very dull.

I did Ashran because I liked how it used to feel like old AV, and I don't like Arenas at all. For my PvP fix now I'm more likely to go to regular BGs for points, and Heroes of the Storm for FUN. (Yeah, I know it's still a Blizzard game, I play it anyway, but it goes with the fact there's nothing rewardingly fun about Ashran now if you're even half CP geared, the box drop rate is abysmal.)

What's worse is with the current state, the Gladiator's sanctum quests may never get done. I know my brother's been on the Pandaren one for months and has went into Ashran daily often to never find one at all on the Horde side.
This is negative feedback. It's also constructive feedback. I don't have anything particular to respond with right now and otherwise wouldn't be -- as is the case with many posts in this thread -- but this is the type of stuff we register, document, and discuss internally.

No response =\= ignored.

Frankly, we can't take the time to acknowledge all decent feedback or respond to it directly, but that makes it no less useful to us. In many cases honest, constructive feedback will spur a discussion of ideas within the community, until finer points are scrutinized, debated, and sometimes augmented to reflect popular feedback. We love to see it and will participate in the discussion if we feel it'll somehow enhance the conversation or clarify common misconceptions.

well that got stuffed up Zarhym. Oce servers have a 30 min + que atm because someone decided to join all of the OCE servers. It used to be insta entry on barth now I cant even get in, besides the fact I really don't want to. You broke your game even more
It was necessary to open the matchmaking pools more similar to how BG queues are handled. While we really prefer to have opponents fighting from the same realm, or at least from a small enough pool that opponents' names maybe familiar, many imbalanced and highly populated realms had extreme wait times, while low population realms had unfilled Ashran instances. Our 6.1 changes have leveled that out much more, though we'll continue to monitor the effects this has in each region.

Not like a constant update but more of "Hey, srry if patch *name* is taking a bit longer. We ran into a bad error" Something like that would kind of make me feel a bit happy.
We always try to provide as much insight and input as possible. The responsibility of crafting and relaying that info generally falls into the hands of us community managers though, as the developers are very busy taking in feedback, tackling bugs, designing new content, etc.

What aspects of Ashran gameplay do you enjoy most or think work well and why?

What aspects of Ashran gameplay do you dislike and why?

What changes would you like to see made and why?

Sincerely,
Zarhym and why? (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

Twitter Integration
Real ID has to be enabled.
That's probably the cause if the Twitter options are just not there in-game for you, and our apologies as it was a fairly late change so not many people internally were aware of how it was implemented. Right now Twitter functionality is tied to Real ID being enabled, as it allows us to ensure parental controls can disable access to Twitter. We really wanted parental controls to be able to block Twitter access if a parent wants to do that, and to get that done and get it into the patch the best option was to attach it to the Real ID setting. We're looking into separating them into their own options in the future.

How can Real ID be enabled? I am not able to see the Twitter integration options either. I went to MENU --> INTERFACE --> BATTLE.NET , but none of the options enable it. So I'm missing something others might be unaware of as well. Help would be appreciated. Thanks.
It's under Social. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

Flight Path Routes
Can we talk specifics?

I've just been checking out flight paths all over Draenor, looking at destinations that are three and four connections away, and they're noticeably direct. For example, from Horde Garrison to Pinchwhistle Gearworks (quite a long way), the flight path is almost perfectly straight.

Of course, while on the taxi, I noted that there was *some* deviating from the straight line, but that was always in accordance with the terrain. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

Flight Path Logic
One specific flight path that I notice from doing the jukebox quest is trying to fly from the piece you get at Pinchwhistle to Everbloom to get the piece there. The flight path connects through a series of points that goes in a western arc through the middle of Talador then up through Gorgrond when it could easily have gone through a straighter path north.
This one surprised me, and you don't have to point all the way to Everbloom. In recreating what you did, I went to Pinchwhistle and hovered over Beastwatch, and saw the issue.

Thank you for the good example. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

Raid and Dungeon Q&A, New Cindermane Charger Recruit-A-Friend Mount
MMO-Champion - World of Warcraft News and Raiding Strategies 2d

Raid and Dungeon Live Q&A
A recap can be found below:

Dungeons
Heroic dungeons could use some improvement, but the current problems with them aren't all new in Warlords. In previous expansions there would be catch-up content that rewarded better gear than the heroic dungeons. Even in Mists of Pandaria, Timeless Isle removed any need to step inside Heroic dungeons.
Heroic dungeons aren't very useful right now in terms of gearing up.
Valor or badges were a reason to run dungeons in the past, but that wasn't a satisfying use of the dungeons. You would run a dungeon that you were far too strong for, which doesn't always feel great.
Challenge modes are now a timed run, but can also be used as challenging content for gear progression. Patch 6.1 updated the rewards to item level 660 to keep them relevant. You can't queue for them randomly and can only do one a day, but it is something.
A Mythic version of dungeons is something that has been talked about internally, but nothing to announce right now. It would be nice for dungeons to remain relevant later in the expansion. Would increased numbers and item levels be enough, or would the dungeon need new mechanics to really be Mythic?

Loot
Getting one random item from a garrison mission every two weeks from a difficulty higher than the one you are doing now is fine.
Older Raid Finder content had another color variation of the gear to add some differentiation between difficulties. It wasn't reasonable to expect players to know which color variation was from which difficulty when looking at people around town. In Warlords the Raid Finder set has different art and this is likely to continue going forward.
Raid Finder being easier than heroic dungeons and giving better loot is partially due to it having a weekly lockout. You can run heroic dungeons repeatedly to quickly gear up. Raid Finder is a way for players to experience the content and story, as well as a way to earn some meaningful upgrades. If Raid Finder gave worse loot than Heroic dungeons, participation would be lower, players would only run it a few times, and queue times would go up.
There is no reason to not use personal loot right now, but players may not want to trust a seemingly random system, even if it is mathematically the same.
The way personal loot feels will be improved in future patches, avoiding situations where everyone wins loot or no one wins loot.
The raid leader chooses the loot system and they have an incentive to choose Master Loot to be the master looter. If you don't like Master Loot, find another group or make your own that uses personal loot.
Personal loot has worked out very well. The short period of time when personal loot was disabled at the start of Warlords showed the benefits of personal loot. Competing with players in the group for loot wasn't fun, it was nicer to work together to kill bosses.
Warforged gear was initially used to make the larger raid size more attractive. It is now used as another bonus property to give players a little bit of excitement when killing a boss repeatedly. It also gives groups a power increase over time, even when clearing content on farm.
Raid Finder will be better itemized in the future.
Spirit could be changed in the future to also do something like increase your spellpower. Items that are Best in Slot for half the raid due to itemization aren't ideal.

Classes
Normal and Heroic difficulty tank representation is currently fairly balanced across the different classes. The goal was to make sure all tanks are in the same ballpark in terms of their overall ability to perform in a raid zone as a whole, which was achieved.
Some of the perceived tank representation imbalance at the highest end is due to how tank mechanics interact with specific fights and the availability of alts to switch to. Brewmaster being popular in Mythic BRF is partially due to how their mechanics interact with the fights. They can Stagger a lot of the physical damage spikes, giving them an advantage on some of the fights.
Raid cooldowns aren't too strong right now, especially those available to non healers. Guilds aren't stacking classes for things like more Smoke Bombs. Some of the healer cooldowns could use a little balancing. Using a big healer cooldown to stabilize the raid after something happens is important for teamwork and cooperation, giving an organized group an advantage over a random PuG where there is no coordination.

Raids
Watcher enjoyed Operator Thogar, but in general most fights were well received. Trains make everything cooler, raid bosses included!
Itemization in terms of which stats are available don't really affect a group's performance as a whole. It can affect the relative power of specs, as some specs got stronger when Blackrock Foundry came out and gear starved specs got better gear. That situation is something the team will try to minimize going forward, but that affects the individual. In terms of the entire raid group it will average out.
Normal and Heroic Blackrock Foundry are no longer too hard for smaller raid sizes. The team has made some changes and is keeping an eye on it though.
Raids shouldn't get harder as you add more players, such as they did with the breakpoints in Siege of Orgrimmar. You shouldn't ever have to tell someone they can't come to the raid because it would make the encounter too hard.
The Patch 6.0 raids had a smooth progression curve. There weren't any huge brick walls that guilds ran in to. Almost everyone who finished or got through most of Normal Highmaul started on Heroic and people were able to continue progressing there.
Having multiple difficulties also has worked out pretty well, as most players and guilds aren't feeling obligated to go back and keep doing easier difficulties.
Mythic Kromog originally had pillars spawn far from the boss, but a hotfix moved them closer to Kromog so that melee DPS could damage them too. The encounter is back in a good place now, with a healthy number of melee DPS being in many kills now.
The team is keeping an eye on success rates in BRF, with tweaks to the earlier bosses to make them a better entry point. BRF is a continuation of Highmaul so it is tuned around you having normal Highmaul gear or BRF Raid Finder gear. BRF should be accessible if your group is going in in the 650s.

Raid Design
Two tanks will be the baseline for raids, with maybe occasional slots for a third. Going over two would make it necessary for guilds to find another tank to continue raiding. Tanks can generally find groups fairly easily or make their own groups.
Sometimes needing a third tank is by design, especially in Mythic, but it is sometimes emergent.
When designing raid bosses, the team starts with designing a Heroic fight and then changes it to make it harder and different for Mythic and easier for Normal.
Sometimes the team designs a fight and was aiming for Heroic, but after testing they realize it is really a Mythic fight. Some abilities are then removed to create the Heroic fight.
Over 90% of guilds that raid have a roster of people that normally raid with them. They don't have a ton of players on the bench or lots of alts to swap out.
Mythic progression guilds that are pushing hard will likely take advantage of situations where a certain spec or class is better, but the vast majority of guilds aren't doing that and don't need to. The goal is for everyone to have a situation where they can feel awesome.
Elevators are a convenient way of going up and down, but the team can explore other means of conveyance. Throne of the Tides was a dungeon where movement force would have been more fun than an elevator.
The goal isn't for everyone to have exactly the same capabilities and performance on every fight. The goal is to have different fights where different classes or specs will shine. Some classes or specs will do better on some fights than others and it will average out for the overall majority of players.
If a fight can't be completed with a reasonably balanced group and stacking of a class or spec is almost necessary, that is a problem and it will be fixed by tweaking mechanics or narrowing the gap with class and spec niches.

Titles
Realm first titles like Obsidian Slayer aren't likely to return.
Some of these titles just were awarded to whichever guild leveled to the cap fastest or what players in the guild got to participate in the kill. Realm first guild achievements work better, as they reflect that the entire guild worked towards the achievement.
Titles like Death's Demise weren't earned by any guild with just 25 people involved. There were players that were involved in many wipes who may have been swapped out on that particular attempt or day who didn't get the title, which wasn't ideal.
Personal titles for defeating bosses on the hardest difficulty become more attainable over time, but they retain prestige in the moment.

Misc
There is no Troll dungeon in the next patch because there are no Trolls in Draenor.
The shortcuts in challenge modes were a bug that got fixed in Patch 6.1. Normally it would be a bug that should have been fixed, but in this case it will affect challenge mode leaderboards and could have gone without being fixed. The team could bring back the old terrain with a client patch or wipe the leaderboards, which is the direction they are leaning.
The internal bug tracking system has 400,000+ bugs that have been fixed over time.
The Group Finder tool has worked out really well. Filtering options and the UI will continue to be improved. Initially the filtering was limited as the usage of the group finder grew, but now that it is very popular more filtering might be helpful.
The rules for kicking people could use another pass and it is something the team is looking at very closely. Most of the rules are from Patch 3.3 and the game is very different today. Now that loot is personal and guaranteed to be sent to you even if you are kicked from the group, there isn't any reason for players to kick other players to abuse loot rolls. Some of the restrictions could be removed.
The team's focus is on reducing the gap between the final content patch and the next expansion. Siege of Orgrimmar was way way too long. This expansion will have whatever number of raid tiers is necessary to avoid that long gap. Six or seven months is long enough for most big raid tiers. Thirteen months is way too long.
Timewalker is still something being worked on and maybe there will be something to talk about in the near future.
The current way the World First race works (community driven) is fine. There are too many variables to ensure perfect fairness for an official World First.
Community created raids aren't likely to happen, but the team takes into account feedback when designing raids.

This is but the first of several racing activities to come. When the Faire returns in April, a second race, new achievements, and associated rewards will be added to the first set. We expect Silas to keep adding twists and turns in future months until he has all of Azeroth running around his island:

March: ‘The Real Race’, including the Racing Strider racer and a set of achievements with rewards.
April: ‘The Real Big Race’, including a new Rocketeer racer, more boosts and race buffs, and new achievements for beating the The Real Big Race with both racers.
May: A new Wanderluster racer, new achievements for beating both races with the Wanderluster, and rewards.
June: A new Powermonger racer, new achievements for beating both races with the Powermonger, and rewards.

That’s right, friends! The new Everlasting Darkmoon Firework can be yours.

Updates are Best Dates
From now on, the Tonk Commander game no longer has a maximum of 30 hits. You can now go for as many hits as possible in one minute, and scoring 45 hits earns you the ‘Ace Tonk Commander’ achievement and the new Darkmoon Tonk Controller toy.

Ring Toss has also been updated. The target turtle has gotten trickier than he used to be, and the rings are smaller, but winning will just take some practice on your part. It might take a lot of practice, but you’ll want to give it a shot, since ten rings in a row earns you the new ‘Triumphant Turtle Tossing’ achievement and the Darkmoon Ring-Flinger toy. It’s an explosion of rings from your victorious hands.

Don’t Forget the Heirlooms
Silas asked us to remind everyone that beautiful selections of Heirloom items are available to make your very own, for only a few Darkmoon Prize Tickets each. With the introduction of the new Heirloom collection system in patch 6.1, there’s no reason to not come play the games of the Faire and get closer to earning yourself that Chauferred Chopper!

Step right up! The next Darkmoon Faire runs March 1 – March 8, and will return again on April 5. For a general overview of this unique event, check out our Darkmoon Faire page in the World of Warcraft Game Guide.

Patch 6.1 - Darkmoon Faire Changes
Along with the addition of a race, there are a few other changes and additions to the faire:

The ring toss game was changed to reward Darkmoon Ring-Flinger. The game is now easy to do, as the turtle always runs back to the same spot in the center. Just wait for him to reach an edge and toss the ring at the center.
The tonks game now rewards Darkmoon Tonk Controller. This is very hard to complete if you are the only one playing, as there aren't enough targets. It is also hard to complete if there is any signficant lag.
You can purchase heirlooms, heirloom upgrades, and a Music Roll: Darkmoon Carousel with Darkmoon Tickets.

Recent CC Diminishing Returns Changes

As most of you are likely aware, there is a brief window of time after a crowd control effect has been applied, during which further crowd control effects of the same category will have a decreased duration. In patch 6.0.3, due to the method used to update diminishing returns, that window could last anywhere from 15 to 20 seconds.

Patch 6.1 added some new functionality that allows diminishing returns to update much faster, which means we can be a lot more precise with exactly how long they last. So, we made a recent hotfix that changes the duration of diminishing returns to 18 seconds. That means diminishing returns should last about as long as they did on average prior to these changes, but you’re able to have a much clearer idea of exactly when they’ll end.

Selling a follower contract back to the vendor will prevent players from being able to re-purchase the contract to learn the follower.
Garrison Nook quest givers will not be present in a friend's garrison unless that friend is also present in their garrison.
Money earned from missions and bonus rolls do not count towards achievement criteria that count money looted as criteria.

Dungeons/Raids:
Audio and video are out of sync for the Death of Lich King cinematic.
Razorgore the Untamed: Defeating Razorgore the Untamed immediately after the mind control breaks will cause the encounter to reset and kill off all players in Blackwing Lair.
Spoils of Pandaria: Marksmanship Hunters' pets will despawn when using Disengage during the encounter.
Tectus: Fracture, Earthen Pillar, and Crystalline Barrage will sort underneath the piles of sand.
Icecrown Citadel: There are multiple issues with the Unholy Infusion quest.
Hans'gar and Franzok: Fire Elementals summoned by the Fire Elemental Totem have difficulty pathing to Hans'gar and Franzok if they are standing on the conveyor belts.
Elegon: It is possible for some pylons to not all raise when he begins his invulnerable phase, preventing encounter completion.
Icecrown Citadel - The Frostwing Halls: Players will be unable to change the raid difficulty after completing the Valithria Dreamwalker encounter.

Quests
It is possible for players to receive multiple Brew of the Month Club mails or no mail at all.
Several of the starting Worgen quests that take place in Gilneas City display a green untextured map when viewed from the quest log or quest tracker.
The quest "It Goes to 11..." cannot be completed.
The Black Knight leashes after dismounting, during "The Black Knight's Fall" .
The quest "Teron Gorefiend, I am" is much more difficult to complete.
Players that completed the Black Harvest Warlock scenario during patch 5.4 but did not log in during the pre-patch report that they did not receive the "Breaker of the Black Harvest" achievement when logging in during Warlords of Draenor.
The Klaxxi Enhancement and Klaxxi Augmentation buffs were not affected by the number squish.
Duels started from the "Duel" vehicle ability will not start, thus achievement "Tilted!" is unachieveable.
Several of the starting Worgen quests that take place in Gilneas City display a green untextured map when viewed from the quest log or quest tracker.
The quest "Scouting Report: Like Jinyu in a Barrel" has a significant delay at the end of the event before rewarding quest credit for completion.
Defeating the Concentrated Sha (68259) too quickly during "What's in the Box?" (QID32330) can cause it to stop spawning for everyone until a server restart.
Quest giver of "They Grow Up So Fast" (QID13906) shows a grayed out question mark even though you are already ready to finish it.
Jade Forest - Grookin Hill: During "Scouting Report: Like Jinyu in a Barrel" Riko and Shademaster Kiryn die too easily.

Characters, Creatures, and Mounts:
Creatures will rotate to face a player if the player is moving after landing the killing blow or if they one-shot the creature.
Multiple HD character models sit incorrectly in several types of chairs.
Fel versions of the Dreadsteed and Felsteed mounts display some non-fel effects.
Players mounted on a multi-passenger vehicle on a transport are not shown the transport loading screen when crossing continents.
A minor animation error can occur with some drake mounts (Nether Drakes, Frost Wyrms) when they land after jumping.
The left shoulder of one of the Orgrimmar Grunt NPCs is using the incorrect model.
There are some HD models that have attachment point issues with Fists of Fury.
There are several Blood Elf male hairstyles that animate incorrectly during the Applaud animation.
Several mounts are unable to jump far enough out of the water to take advantage of abilities that allow you to walk on water.
The Arctic Fox Kit is not correctly obeying his spawn conditions, and will not always be seen during snowy weather.
Shields sheathed on the backs of Blood Elf male characters are angled incorrectly.

UI:
Mouse-over tooltips maybe sometimes only remain on screen for a fraction of a second.
Holy priest chakras do not work with the stance conditional.
Class-specific mounts cannot be added as Favorites.
When someone else adds you as their in-game friend, you'll receive log-off notifications from them even if they aren't your friend.
There are inconsistencies between the UI and short supply system.
The online toast notification displays toon name rather than BattleTag for Battle.net friends playing Heroes of the Storm.
Changes to some System settings will not save if the Apply button is pressed while the drop-down box for the setting is expanded.
Rated Battleground mounts cannot be added as Favorites.
Argent Charger (66906) does not display as collected in the Mount Journal unless the character is a Paladin.
Mounts may temporarily remove themselves from being in a player's mount journal after they log back into the game from being disconnected.
Heirlooms that upgrade from leather to mail at level 40 are not appearing in the Heirloom Journal when the class filter is set to a specific class.
When tab targeting, quickly switching direction will not always update your available targets immediately.
The max range of tab targeting is only around 40 yards.
Tab targeting will choose the closest target, even if it is already your current target.

I thought there was something funky with tab targeting...

GDC 2015 - How Blizzard's Warcraft Brought Hearthstone to Life
Gamespot has a nice video of the talk Blizzard gave about creating the Hearthstone UI. Some of the highlights are below:

Early Concepts
The initial game that got approved was Warcraft Legends, with a build called Fire and Ice.
One concept had players traveling across the world doing single player quests and content.
The game was initially created entirely in Flash.
The pre-alpha board was complicated and looked boring.
Other ideas that came up were an Adventure Book, 3D Cards, Hologram Cards, a board that was a tree stump
The initial matchmaking screen had an over the top hero selection animation with sound effects, hero voice emotes, and ending with a "Fight" sound.
The next itteration had a box that opened to a map of the world. You then selected your hero, the map ripped in half to reveal a Google Earth like video of Azeorth, zooming in while showing names of players battling. Once your match was found, both player names were displayed and the somewhat familiar Hearthstone board appeared.
The box still exists in a more polished form in the live game. Treys and keys are used in the UI to go along with the box theme.
The box had to sit somewhere, so the team decided it was sitting on a table in a tavern, which you can see in different loading and other screens.
The same idea was fully realized for Blizzcon, with a very nice Hearthstone tavern stage set.

Physical UI
The UI started with a flat parchment style UI, then they decided it should be more 3D. Next they made it more physical, added magic, added some charm, and then made it feel valuable and constructed.
The current trend is building flat UIs, which didn't fit Hearthstone. The team went for a more physical UI, as it fit the game better.
The physical UI made things like keys, card backs, and card packs feel more valuable.
Opening a pack of cards is an important part of the experience. The team tried to replicate the physical experience of opening a card pack with the game's sounds and visuals.
Many parts of the UI bounce or rotate, giving them a more physical feel.
The physical UI worked out well when the team decided to bring the game to mobile devices. The UI already had a lot of nice elements for touch, such as the cards tilting when you moved them around and clicking the board causing dust to fly up.
The game has a lot of over the shoulder appeal, which is important for a collectable card game. Someone walking by and seeing you play it will be interested.
The physical UI is hard to expand. Currently the screen has nine hero slots, but how can it be rearranged for more.
It took a long time and a lot of tries to get the UI right, but it was important because that is a huge part of the game.
The physical UI also is designed for flavor over efficiency, to a certain extent.

UI Importance
Some games come up with mechanics and gameplay and then treat the UI as an afterthought. The Hearthstone team realized that the UI design was as important as the game design.
If the UI was too complicated, it was a signal to design that things may be too complicated.
The board could only fit 7 minions as designed, so rather than scaling them down the team capped it at 7.
Decks were initially 60 cards, with the list on the right scrolling down over three pages. It was too much for new players to keep in their head.
An older concept allowed for chains, where your opponent could play a card, you could play a card in response to that card, and so on. This was a mess visually and complicated to design and play, so it was removed.
The team starts with a feature by some simple wireframing, then iterates on it in 2D until it feels right, and then brings in 3D to make sure it will work.

Q&A
There are no plans to allow modification of Hearthstone like addons allow in WoW.
There is a UI group that meets and the other teams are taking note of how the physical UI worked well.
No effects are sacrificed for the mobile versions of Hearthstone, they just optimize them so performance is acceptable.
Hearthstone on phones is pretty far along and looks awesome, so expect to hear more in the next couple of months.
The need for more deck slots is a known issue that is under discussion.

PvP
why make it so wins in the main event in ashran don't give conquest? alliance can't win side events so now it's impossible
The two factions were avoiding each other in Ashran. We are altering rewards to encourage competition. (WarcraftDevs)
how about making a continent wide buff to encourage PvP in ashran
thanks we're on it (holinka)

You're mistaken.

The issue with PvP is that carebears (of which I'm one) cannot partake in world PvP so simply don't bother. The last decent World PvP we had was Tol Barad, and even then I use the word "decent" loosely. Mists had no World PvP content bar a trinket on the Timeless Isle, where carebears were too busy killing frogs. Warlords has bought us Ashran, but it's so broken it's laughable. Horde and Alliance don't fight, they keep to either the main objective or the side objective. It's not PvP, and it's content which should be PvP. It's put a whole garrison building / questline out of reach for carebear PvP's who like PvP, but only in controlled places.

There is no fun in getting ganked by people of higher level or in better gear than you. This is the reason people like myself play on PvE realms. Sure my hunter can hold his own on a PvP realm, but what about my other 10 alts who would get ripped to pieces and that I have no desire to PvP on? If the hunter goes to a PvP realm then she loses the support of the alts, and there is only so far the gold you can transfer will go.

Blizz just need to make World PvP Zones actual PvP zones. All those bonus objectives in Ashran need scrapping, it just needed to be a push from Horde to Alliance with enough rewards from successive wins to discourage win trading.

To put it another way, paintballing is really fun in a controlled environment, but I don't want to be shot with a paint ball whilst walking the dog.

Introducing the WoW Token
Coming soon to an Azeroth near you: the WoW Token, a new in-game item that allows players to simply and securely exchange gold and game time between each other.

Players will be able to purchase a WoW Token through the in-game Shop for real money, and then sell it on the Auction House for gold at the current market price. When a player buys a WoW Token from the Auction House for gold, the Token becomes Soulbound, and the player can then redeem it for 30 days of game time.

The WoW Token feature will be enabled at a future date. Patch 6.1.2 adds in the framework needed for the WoW Token feature in the game client and is not active at this time. In the meantime, check out this FAQ for details on how the feature works.

Rolling on Spirit and Bonus Armor Gear
Originally Posted by Blizzard (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)
Both Spirit and Bonus Armor are intended to help restrict the number of people in a given raid who may be interested in a particular item. The OP makes a perfect argument as to why we want that distinction: he wanted the Blackiron Micro Crucible, but had resigned himself to only really having a shot at it from a bonus roll or a cache as there were so many others in his raid group who wanted it too. That's a crappy situation.

Bonus Armor is currently working well for creating that distinction. DPS specializations don't get anything from it, but it's far and away the best stat for tanks -- so much so that tanks will nearly always prefer an item that grants Bonus Armor over an item that doesn't, even if the item with no Bonus Armor is much higher in item level.

Prior to 6.1, we were getting a ton of feedback from tanks who were extremely disappointed to receive trinkets, rings, etc. with no Bonus Armor through their bonus rolls. It felt like a waste of a seal or cache to get something that your loot spec would realistically never equip. Plus, it's a bit of a false lead for inexperienced players; if Blizzard gave me a higher item level crit/multistrike amulet via bonus rolls, it must be an upgrade, right?

We got similar feedback from many healers, which caused us to take a look at how Spirit was functioning. Ultimately, we want Spirit to work similarly: a stat that's so good, you want it everywhere you can get it. If that's not the case for you, we'd like to fix that by making Spirit more attractive, not by making you want to equip non-Spirit items (and fight with half your raid over them).

We made some changes along those lines in 6.1 (such as the Mistweaver changes to Mana Tea). We feel that, with those changes, we're now in a position now where healers should always prefer Spirit pieces in the ring, neck, and back slots. The nature of trinkets makes them a little less cut-and-dry: in the vast majority of situations, you should prefer the Spirit trinket, but there could conceivably be a situation in which a DPS trinket would give better performance. We're still discussing what (if any) changes would need to be made to prevent those niche occurrences, but again, our goal is that you don't want the DPS trinkets.

Unfortunately Lore that is not always how stat optimization works. I'll take a dps haste trinket over spirit any day for the purpose it serves me, but removing my ability to bonus roll on said item drastically hurts my gearing process.
If that's the case, then our fix would be to either make the Spirit trinket better or the DPS trinket worse for healers. We don't want DPS and healers fighting over the same trinkets.

Legendary Follower Abilities
I am not sure if they were trolls but apparently thie "Legendary" follower only has 2 abilities and 3 traits like an epic.
Ultimately, adding another ability didn’t feel Legendary to us especially given that most players have solid ability coverage across their existing group of followers. Instead, we put the extra “Legendary” into a trait that acts like an ability that can counter anything. This felt awesome and like the right direction to take Legendary followers. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

Legacy Content Gold Changes
Historically "escort" and "breadcrumb" type quests that just ask you to talk to an NPC have always given little or no gold. There was no intended change here, and I believe that no change occurred. It's possible that there's a subtle bug, but numerous posters in this thread seem to report that gold rewards from quests while leveling are in fact unchanged. If there are specific examples of quests that used to award gold, but which no longer do, we'd be interested in hearing about them here, or on our Bug Report forum.

Gold from questing is an essential source of gold for leveling and max-level players alike, and not something we would suddenly and wordlessly remove or reduce.

If someone could provide screenshots of specific item nerfs, this would be helpful. Since they are saying no nerfs are intentional, it is beneficial to show them the nerfs that are in place so they can reverse them ASAP.
That's a separate issue from quest gold, which was not changed at all to my knowledge. Several legacy items (old epic gems, and crafting reagents like Crusader Orbs, Chaos Orbs, Sulfuron Ingots, etc.) were significantly reduced in vendor value in order to limit the impact of an exploit. These items honestly don't constitute a very large portion of total gold earnings from running old raids and dungeons, compared to boss gold drops and vendored weapons and armor. Because the change was exploit-oriented, it was excluded from our patch notes, but it probably should have been messaged more clearly in order to avoid surprise.

Again, as a matter of philosophy, we find nothing at all wrong with players making a non-trivial amount of gold from something like a weekly Black Temple or Icecrown transmog run at max level. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

Shadowmeld Bug
Don't you usually put bug fixes in the patch notes? You know, under the big Bug Fixes section, why wasn't Shadowmeld mentioned? Legitimately interested.
In that particular instance, the change was to make Shadowmeld work more consistently like Vanish or Invisibility where a number of bugs got fixed with those abilities. It was not anything that would be noticed or warrant a patch note because it was intended to not affect how the ability worked.

Update: The hotfix to return Shadowmeld back to it's pre-6.1 functionality after tomorrow's rolling restarts should be going in later tonight. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

Patch 6.1 Undocumented Changes
Offloading some of the information I've been tracking down in no particular order.

Regarding Paladin's Hammer of Wrath concerns, I've verified that it was only a tooltip update in Patch 6.1 and there were no further changes to the ability. Also, the ability does not and should not be benefiting from Sword of Light as it's not a melee attack.

I noticed that Find Weakness for sub rogues has been nerfed in pvp for 6.1. Before the patch It was at 100% armor bypass now its at 50%, this change has only affected pvp. This was not posted in the patch notes.
Tooltip for the ability Find Weakness stated that it "Bypasses less armor on players.". Additionally, the ability itself no longer exists as of Patch 6.0.2 back on October 15, 2014.

Rogue - »us.battle.net/wow/en/blo ··· 79#rogue
Find Weakness’ effects have been merged into baseline Ambush, Garrote, and Cheap Shot for Subtlety Rogues.
I Understand we want blizzard to be more open about stuff. But lets be honest it might sometimes be hard or insane to document every single little tweak ever. So trying to nitpick every little bit of something even with something that doesnt really affect gameplay in anyway other than aesthetics. lets not try to be too nit picky and just help blizzard understand where were coming from.
Thanks, I've been trying to investigate credible claims. A number of purported inaccuracies were actually noted in the patch notes or hotfix blog.

Re: Shadowmeld, Cretch appears to be referring to this: »us.battle.net/wow/en/for ··· 28042667

Looks like it doesn't drop combat in 6.1. Is that just PVP Cretch or everywhere?
The Shadowmeld's (Night Elf racial) functionality received a bug fix to address a number of issues with the ability that wound up affecting its behavior in PvP combat. We're working on a hotfix that's undergoing testing but not ready to be implemented yet that will restore Shadowmeld back to the way it worked (while keeping the bug fixes intact).

Well I for one would like to see the numerical breakdown that would occur if wow said. "We can only run one style of server, PVP or PVE and we need to know now?" what type of server would win. I think we already know the answer. Would they loose subs? Yes. But the reality is PVP is not as popular as PVE and may not warrant the design time and resources it requires. That is blizzards decision to make. The very fact that PVP is not being played in an area designed specifically for pvp is very relevant. You say they should force the PVP aspect. Really force people to do it? That again speaks to a lack of overall popularity. To put it in context "some one out there likes Jalapeno Ice Cream but not enough that anyone is manufacturing it for distribution en masse." And until the community en masse demands that pvp be made relevant it will remain what it is "Something they will address when they get time".

djlar - yeah well I'm hopeful, let's see how the derpiness is. They would have to reduce the damage by 25%-50% based on my past runs...

wish - I don't PVP but I think one thing Blizzard absolutely should do is separate how skills/talents work in PVE and PVP. A lot of tunes/nerfs that are valid for one type is completely invalid for another.

Referencing the PvP thing, I have always wondered how hard it would be for Blizzard to do that. I mean, you have three specs which work for PvE, so why not have it scale differently for PvP. Could it be as simple as the way they do the weapons and PvP Gear? It is x IL for one and y for the other?

2014 Blizzard Stream Awards, Powered by Twitch
Originally Posted by Blizzard (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

In 2014, the Twitch streaming community grew and provided countless hours of entertainment to viewers, much of it based on Blizzard games. To recognize the efforts of your favorite streamers and channels, Blizzard is proud to announce the 2014 Blizzard Stream Awards powered by Twitch. These awards will provide recognition and cash prizes for the best Blizzard content streamers of 2014.

Award nominees will be announced on Tuesday, March 10, and award winners will be announced on Wednesday, March 18, right here on Blizzard’s official community sites and on Blog.Twitch.tv.

For a list of awards categories and to learn how the 2014 Blizzard Stream Awards powered by Twitch works, check out the breakdown below.

How It Works
Award Categories: Together, Blizzard and Twitch have established 21 unique award categories representing streamers from five Blizzard franchises (Diablo III, Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, StarCraft II, and World of Warcraft). Six of these categories are data-driven (example: Most number of hours streamed for Blizzard titles in 2014) while the others are qualitative categories that will be voted on by you, the community of viewers.
Prizes: In this program, Twitch will distribute a prize pool of approximately $113,700 for 2014 Twitch partner streamers, with the first place winners in each category taking home $2014.
Implementation: Voting will occur for the polled categories through Noon PDT on Tuesday, March 17, 2015, via the polls linked below. After voting has closed, we will announce the winners of both the polled categories and the data-driven categories.
Rules: To qualify for the 2014 Blizzard Stream Awards presented by Twitch, you must be a Twitch partner streamer who streamed game content from one of these five Blizzard franchises: Diablo III, Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, StarCraft II, and World of Warcraft between January 1, 2014 through December 31, 2014.

BlondieWondie started streaming WoW in February of 2014. Taymoo got started in May of 2014. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

Vote: Favorite WoW PvE Streamer in 2014
this contest just shows up hor oblivious blizzard really is considering they have Dexter_bl AND Seriousgaming (same person LOL). and of course allinity who just shows her cleavage but u know thats a great stream nowadays... how is spartysmallwood who does nothing but stream high progresion raiding while teaching the wow community at the same time NOT on this list?! Blizzard seriously hire some competant ppl aready!
All of the listed nominees reached above a certain threshold of popularity for all of 2014, as defined numerically by Twitch. In 2014, both the Dexter_bl channel and the Seriousgaming channel were among the X most-popular channels streaming World of Warcraft more than Y% of the time. As was Alinity.

I personally really like SpartySmallWood, and hope he climbs into the highest echelon of WoW streamers in 2015. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

Trade Chat
There are a number of things in place that already make it difficult for gold spammers to be a nuisance for long, as well as tools for players to help us clean them up such as the report function. It's something we're always looking at, working on, and improving so that we can make the game environment better for people who just want to play (like you). We also have to be careful not to impact regular players by restricting chat too harshly.

Thats right money, you enjoy their subs and game fees too much
That classic misconception has been thrown around a lot and I want to avoid repeating myself so I'll just link to what I previously said.

We do know about the disconnection issue and it's being worked on. We're just as keen to resolve it as you all are, I assure you. In the meantime, as some people here have suggested, addons can help with limiting what you seen in chat channels. But I will once again highlight that we're always working to improve things, and we thank you for leaving feedback about it. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

Icy Veins - Blackrock Foundry Guides
Our friends over at Icy Veins have their Blackrock Foundry guides up to date, with Mythic versions of guides in progress. Thanks to AskMrRobot, the easiest progression order is listed as well.

AskMrRobot - Combat Infographics
AskMrRobot launched a new feature for the release of Blackrock Foundry, Combat Infographics. These give you an at a glance idea of how well you and your raid are doing at things like avoiding damage, dealing damage, healing, killing adds, and more. If you have premium, you can use their new Team Optimizer as well!

That's 45 hours, or 1.5 hour of game time a day. Takes me an hour to get into LFR as a DPS, so hope that LFR doesn't derp! :P

Hmm... interesting point Puppy. Are these game tokens giving play time or play periods of time? Right now the sub is based on a period of 30 days of play time. You can play 5 minutes or 720 hours; either way the sub ends at the end of the month and you pay the same amount. If these tokes are going to give play time in minutes, it is a completely different subscription model. One that is employed in Asia and makes me wonder if these strings pertain only to that market.
