Re: [OOL] New Customer.. Email/account question. Thanks for your reply.
I know I can go there and make an account, but I was trying to ask if everyone has to do this on their own, or if customers are supposed to be assigned one. (If they are, I don't want to make duplicate accounts and such.)
I do already have email accounts at Gmail and Hotmail, as well as a variety of accounts hosted on my own domain. However, there are a few places that require an ISP email, and will reject any of the free email providers such as Gmail. This is the only reason I used my Verizon email, and it's set to auto-forward those over to my Gmail anyway. I plan on doing the same thing with an Optimum email, but I need to actually have an account first, haha. |

 | I don't think they create that automatically anymore, but I could be wrong.
I also don't know if they are still asking you to choose between optonline.net or optimum.net, or just doing the latter for all new folks.
If you go to: »idcenter.services.optimum.net/My···ntStatic Then log in, then go to the menu item [ID CENTER], you should have access to all of that.
Edit:
And in fact on that page it says: [New User? Create an Optimum ID] |

 | You are not required to make a Cablevision email account. |

 | Right. But you'll want an Optimum ID if you want to take advantage of features such as Optimum Wifi, online account access, TV to Go, Optimum App, etc. |
