with a STB here I get the .2s and .3s sub channels from my locals on the low 100s in the STB.ie. 8.2 = 108hope it helps

I already know about some of those channels. Like for example the subchannel for our local NBC channel is 112-3. I could get to it before the cable box was hooked up but not now.
The box remaps it to another channel. Look around the lineup
