 | SB6141 and Netgear 3500L, okay for Comcast HIS? I have had Comcast, in Houston area, for over a year now. I have used the TG862 and service has been rock solid. Never seen it down while using it and never had to reboot the TG862.
I plan to get a modem and router and quit leasing the TG862. I am planning to get the SB6141 and a Netgear 3500L router (I only have one wireless device, and 6 wired devices through the ports and a Netgear switch, so do not need much on wireless side.)
How are those two on Comcast system - if I have had no problems with the TG862, should those two together be as solid?
Are both IPv6 proof?
Is the Netgear 3500L, being opens source, complicated to use?
Also, I am planning to spend $140 for both (Fry's has the SB6141 on special.) IS there something else you would recommend in that price range, for both modem and router, instead?
Thanks for any help. |

 | I've used the Netgear 3500Lv2 with no issues, both with the stock firmware and Shibby's Tomato open source firmware.
Stock firmware is very very easy to use. IPv6 works perfectly.
I have the SB6120. No issues there either. |
