The Only times i have read about "fair usage" its been excuses to offer unlimited without providing true unlimited Usally on Cellphone company plans Like wind Unlimited data which slows at a certain gig so, and all thru the states the same sort of Scheme occurs. The wording itself is what scares me, and i did read some posts at rfd suggesting they do indeed have a 300 gig softcap. and Given there Atpia Working areas I was myself wondering if they resell teksavvy or have there own backbone

They seem to have their own service and are not resellers as someone mentioned they were taking delivery of a link at their head office. Plus if they were reselling Teksavvy or the likes, then VMedia would be reselling a reseller.

Not really. In addition the CCTS would be on your side for this one. One of those rare occasions where they would be.

If it's not an issue, why keep giving it attention? Try actually practicing what you preach before you preach it bub.

I got bounced by Rogers for violating a soft cap several years ago when I was purportedly on unlimited (4, 5, 6 years ago. Can't really recall) so I knew to ask about it. There probably isn't a TOS out there that any ISP couldn't use to limit, throttle or suspend if they chose to or to change policy today, tomorrow or down the road. So my policy is that I'm happy until I'm unhappy and when I'm unhappy, I'll go somewhere else. So far, so good (this is my first third party experience).

Any info on a possible upstream change in Ontario?
I see my DCW775 now syncs at 10M upstream and I also say some reports from Videotron-land (Que) where the 45/4 has been upgraded to 45/10.

CikTel page has nothing on this...or anything else for that matter.

they have poor communication imo, they kept telling me to signup for 18/.5 on their website for my area even though it was 25/2 capable but would be getting 25/2 once it was processed, but I told them why don't u update the website which they never did answer me, also their English is not very good as they primarily have Chinese workers

CIK caters to the Chinese market. Strange thing is, I've never seen them advertise on Fairchild or Ming Pao or any of the newspapers. But then I don't read Ming Pao lol.

Catering to the Chinese market is fine but they Operate in Canada, Which recognizes 2 languages as primary english and french and They Don't Provide Equal service,Discriminating against English Speaking folks, - i find this Disturbing.
Not to mention As a Company Alienating a market like that seems foolish.

Each ISP can caters toward certain ethnics group which is no different from an ISP or car dealers or restaurant owners targeting the Russians, Portuguese, Italians, South East Indians or Koreans. You get my point? So what is wrong with going after Cantonese/Mandarin/Chinese speaking groups? At times, certain business just cannot diversify to everyone's liking.
