Can a dual band wireless router be used with Motorola Canopy

I tried to set up a network with a Belkin 600 DB wireless router. It intermittently loses connection and gains connection while online. When logged into the router's web site it is stated that my ISP is the source of the problem, but I can connect to an old Linksys G model router with no connection problems (except for the occasional drop every few days or so). I spoke to the ISP representative on the phone and he ensured that I have a strong connection. Could the problem be that it is dual band? Is there a way to reboot the modem at the antenna by unplugging it and then plugging it back in. Would this process even make a difference?
-thanks for the help

I have a dual band router I use with my wisp, no problems at all. so its not that. Unplugging the POE will re-establish the connection to the AP, but I don't know if that actually reboots the radio.

Not necessarily correct.

Do you know what frequency the Canopy is on or can you post a picture?
