Firefox freezes on any site that has flash

Any time, I go to a site that uses flash, Firefox freezes for 5min or more, then resumes. Most sites use flash, so yea, we are looking at a 5min or more delay when I click on just about anything. I tried removing flash player. Firefox worked fine until I reinstalled Flash player. I tried deleting, reinstalling Firefox, and I even tried deleting my entire Firefox profile. The problem persists. What else might be going on here?

This is a Core i7 Win7 box.

What version of Flash?
What video card are you running?

Create a new, clean Profile.
Install nothing.
Open Addons Manager, disable all Plugins except for Flash.

Visit your site that freeze FF.

Does it freeze?

Flash Player 11.6
geforce 9500

Yes, I'm just going to the adobe flash test page, and the msn.com home page. Sometimes I get the flash player crashed message on the adobe page.

youtube just brings up a blank windows where the video should be.

Have you tried disabling hardware acceleration in flash?

No, but this computer has been using flash with Firefox for several years. I did try an update to the graphics driver.

How can I disable hardware acceleration?

11.6.602.180 was released on the 12th and has been stable* on my two systems under both AJAX (IE & Dooble) and NPAPI (Opera & Firefox).

________
* Context: as stable as Adobe Flash is capable of being.
