Re: Roots in (secondary) sewer line. Worth fixing or band-aid? #3 involves connecting the drains to the sewer line the rest of the house uses. At first I thought this would be the best course of action as well, but I don't know how deep the stacks already go into the floor. If they don't end at or below the floor drain's level, it wouldn't work. I wouldn't know without chopping up the floor first.
Besides that, they're cast iron. It's not like I could just cut into them like I could with PVC. |
