[DSL] Experience with Frontier service "Simply Broadband Ma
Frontier has a high speed Internet service called "Simply Broadband Max". They advertise download speeds up to 6Mbps. I emailed tech support and received the following when I asked about minimum speeds: "As DSL is a distance sensitive technology, Frontier guarantees at least 70% of the provisioned speed. I checked your line card and at your address the highest available provisioned speed is 3Mbps download. I hope this answers your question. Please contact customer service at 800-921-8101 if you have any other questions about different packages, since they have the most information available."
(1) Am I correct that from the above it appears that I can count on 70% * 3Mbps = 2.1Mbps download speed? Or am I naive to think that Frontier can deliver this download speed? (2) Does anyone have experience with the "Simply Broadband Max" service? (3) Is "Simply Broadband Max" a new service from Frontier?
