 | reply to EGeezer I was just there about a month ago and they had the nicest '57 chevy in the front window. |

A military friend of mine used to have something like that. It was a mid 80s S10 with a 350. It was the long box version and had faded two tone red and black paint. It looked like some trailer park redneck's truck with a set of rough Cragar SS wheels thrown on it. You'd never guess it would blow the doors off any Camaro or Mustang. |

Were you at the McDonough GA location? They also had several NASCAR racers, a Garlits dragster and Prudhomme's Skoal funny car on display.
BTW, ob's BBQ in McDonough has good smoked brisket and pork. I just wish they served collards as a side ... -- Buckle Up. It makes it harder for the aliens to suck you out of your car.

 | No, I was at the Akron, OH store. |

 | Not that I know of personally. Good BBQ is hard to find here for some reason. |

Too far north I guess. Same with good sweet tea, collards, hush puppies and corn bread. I need to go south of US route 40 to even start seeing stuff like that on the menu. -- Buckle Up. It makes it harder for the aliens to suck you out of your car.

 | Unfortunately you're right. Being from WV I'm all to familiar with those foods. |

I have heard the S10 can take a 350 without much in the way of modification.

said by Kearnstd:Never rodded mine out, though it did have the 4300 Vortec. I bet it still runs very well with the larger 4.3L V-6 like yours over the old 2.8L V-6. The 4.3L is no slouch. -- Whats the point of owning a supercar if you cant scare yourself stupid from time to time? |

KearnstdElf WizardPremium join:2002-01-22 Mullica Hill, NJ | Oh I know that engine was mean. Mine was a 1995 (Z Vin if you are curious and I remember correctly). That truck was such a beast. Even with a 7ft bed filled completely with gravel, outside temp 95deg and the AC on Max it still had zero issues accelerating. was a 5pd manual 4x4 with an electronic 2spd transfer case.
when we moved to NJ we sold it to a neighbor and I took ownership of the Impala.
If the neighbor treats it like I did I bet that truck is still running strong. -- [65 Arcanist]Filan(High Elf) Zone: Broadband Reports |

 | reply to EGeezer I get/have to see one of those nearly every day. I put the blower on a 350 and tried to stuff it into a '63 Corvette. Well, it fit just fine except the lower pulley would hit a cross member and we didn't want to modify the vehicle one bit, so we ended up putting on a smaller supercharger. The boss made the vette owner a deal on the blower so now it sits in his '64 Nova that sits at the shop.
