 | Latency for wired is worse than wireless My system works well so I don't want to rock the boat but since WOW updated their speedtest I have noticed that the PING (latency) on my wired desktop is about 32ms, while on my wireless laptop it is 11ms. I would have thought it would be reversed with the desktop being lower or at the very least similar between the two.
My UL and DL speeds test perfect on both so is there any reason for concern? Or should I go by "if it ain't broke..."? |

 | No concern. To be honest if a tech were to come out for that he would probably laugh. |

 | Never planned to call a tech, just curious if my assumption that results should be reversed, or at least similar for the two is correct. I'm not that familiar with the technical aspects as most are here so I thought I'd ask.
When I used to do pingtest.net my desktop would be more like 10ms. I removed Java so I can't double check vs. WOW's result. |

desktop avg =23ms laptop avg =21ms
Probably statistically insignificant in terms of difference but quite different for both than what WOW reports. Just going by the numbers, like with the WOW test, the wireless laptop is slightly better which seems counterintuitive.
In general I think the results seem decent but I am no expert. |
