| It appears someone called to determine buried utilities before digging. Are you having other underground work (gas water electrical work done? Is some utility replacement project pending/in the planning phase? Do you see similar marks on ajoining property? |

 | reply to SuperNet9 They're used to mark the location/route of underground utilities. Someone must be planning on doing some digging nearby or they were placed there by mistake. |

The orange flags are 5 feet from the house, 10 ft from the street.
I never called anyone to do ny type of work. No one has the flags around me -- »www.RestartYourComputer.net |

| I would call comcast and get the number of the local construction supervisor to find out what they are doing (you could call the number on the flag and ask who requested it be marked too) in the mean time put a note in a zip lock bag at the flag site saying DO NOT DIG without contacting you to avoid a dig by mistake. (maybe someone transposed a number on the mark order)
It is possible some "friend" or a local kid found the flags and put them there as a joke, or that some RoW exists you aren't aware of (like the mainline gets to the back through your yard) |

Did you try the web site and phone number printed on the flags? |

| reply to SuperNet9 I had Comcast, Verizon & West Penn Electric mark out their lines because my neighbor wanted to put up a fence and since the lines were coming in from the road on his property about a foot from our property lines, he wanted to see where my lines actually crossed from his property to mine. As it turned out, good that he did since my lines didn't cross over until it was 40' back & my neighbor would have cut lines while digging. -- In God we trust; all others bring data!
