 | [DSL] Auto upgrade for $6 I don't usually read my phone bill, much less the fine print, but because I have ESP (yeah, right ) I just did that today.

As always Frontier never actually publishes all the facts. I have one simple question for Frontier with all the upgrades to their network will all us people that get less than the speed we were sold as the up to amount finally get what we should be getting? |

 | reply to aurgathor That notice is also on my April bill (and has been since March, although I didn't notice it back then), so I guess I can't say I wasn't warned in some way about an increase, but getting a separate letter beforehand would've been nice. |

 | I got my next bill, and based on the amount, the actual increase (the amount I need to pay) appears to increased by about $12!! (need to go through the bill a bit more carefully to understand why this is the case)
I actually called them a couple of weeks ago telling them I don't need their 'enhanced service' -- it appeared to me the rep didn't have a clue what I was talking (or played that way) and in response to that they sent me a new modem.
At this point, I'm 95% certain that I will just ask them to disconnect my DSL, only question is whether I will do it within a week or two, or wait a bit more for some Comcast special. Or perhaps I'll just ask them to disconnect my POTS line, too.
BTW, I did a speedtest yesterday, and my previously 3 Mb, now supposedly 6 Mb line was under 2 Mb. -- Wacky Races 2012! |

Also I bet you got slammed Frontier does and most of the time it involves you getting a new modem. Check the top of your bill and you will find you are now in a new term contract for one or two years. |

What I find funny is how they had been trying to get older customers to use their new modems. Now, they eliminate their $6.99 modem fee, but are still charging people $6...LOL. I'm just hoping my bill is exactly the same next month. If it's not, they'll be getting a visit from me. |
