That actually worked, nice! Even has some extra info such as CM IP, lease time, configuration file, etc.

Didn't work for me. Not sure if this has to be a TWC distributed modem. I bought my modem off ebay.

Hmm, well, I'll be damned, that actually works.

It opens up a few interesting things. Access to config file, L2TP VPN, WDS/Bridging under Wireless.

I can now see that my 50mbps service is capped at 53760000/5376000.

Works here. But the differences are subtle.

I can see the config file and some wireless WMM stuff and that's about it.

Inside the video there is a reference made that the 6580 is new and just released? Thought this has been on the market a long while? Least it has been with me.

sb6141 is just a modem, I didn't think it would have any section requiring a password, does it??

oic... SBG6580 has a router and wifi too. i was going to get those separately - regardless, the assumption i had was that the tech name/pw allows you to see more configuration info and diagnostic logs than you may ordinarily be able to see.

Yes but TW is very annoying if u have 6141 from them in nyc they will block u from even looking at signal levels or log I believe.

I live in NYC(11209) and my SB6141 was blocked for a while. I can now access the signal level details(see 4 up and 8 down). Not sure when it changed

jh - are you leasing that modem all along, bought it long ago? or bought it since they added a leasing charge? can you also tell me what recent bios version was pushed on to it by TWCable?

I bought the SB61641 in June 2012 from Amazon.com.
I am on the 30/5 plan mainly for Skype Video to my family overseas(would live with 10/10 if I had to). I upgraded my SB6120(June 2012) due to the upload overload reboots.

Here are the details:-

Model Name: SB6141
Vendor Name: Motorola
Firmware Name: SB_KOMODO-1.0.6.3-SCM03-NOSH
Boot Version: PSPU-Boot(25CLK) 1.0.12.
Hardware Version: 7.0
Serial Number: xxxxxxxxxx
Firmware Build Time: Aug 18 2011 10:27:53

That password looks like a SNMP string.

Cool!
