Facebook testing a 'nagging' feature for iPhones and iPads

Sounds a lot like the disreputable broker practice of "churning" a client's account in the stock market... creating buy/sell trading activity just to generate commissions. In the social network case, the more updating a user can be nagged to do, the more user activity is stimulated throughout his social circle... and thus the more overall click counts and marketable tracking data is generated.

Oh, very cheeky.

Makes me glad that I long ago disabled notifications from the Facebook app as I cannot imagine a more superfluous thing to be interrupted by.

I vote, but who ever said one had to be alive to do that. Seems to me that many dead people have cast their ballots and they've been counted as good. Wonder how they do that.

It all depends on where you live. In some locales, being dead will get you less chances of a polling place challenge than being alive...

Jeez, I'm happily dead too. Who knew?

I do have one - but don't use except for lazy vendors. What will they do if you post eff off as an update?

Notifications disabled and NO iPhone . I get nothing from FB.

I like the person who commented something about "why shouldn't they bug people to update the FB app....". Why? Because their app updates suck and break it, that's why. I've also read that some people are claiming FB updated the app without permission. If that happens, I'll just go back to using the browser. I rarely use my phone for FB anyway.
