[solved][issue] Email Server Down - Again

Task 'xyz@teksavvy.com - Receiving' reported error (0x80042108) : 'Outlook cannot connect to your incoming (POP3) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

...webmail also doesn't work

hoping, if you bug TSI enough they will start fixing the server faster?

Marc did said they are working on a newer server.

But didn't mention how long it would take.

Server does goes down multiple times per day, which is annoying.

It is still down as of this post.

Yes, they need to replace that abacus they're using in the storage closet with an actual computer

We all can Hope!

But if the past couple of weeks has anything to prove, IT WILL GO DOWN again!

As it has been doing multiple times per day these past couple of weeks.

We Trust (well I trust you, I don't claim speak for all the others) Andre, when you say its being worked on.

I know Marc did post in another thread saying its being worked on.

So that's good.

Its just a matter of 'WHEN'

I don't think anyone is expecting an EXACT date of when its going to be fixed, but a rough estimate would be nice.

Its just annoying for it to be going down all the time, so if I see someone else complaining I will chime in!

I've grown tried of posting daily msgs of it going down myself. As I said before by the time I've posted and someone investigates, It is usually already back up!

After an insanely long wait of 2 minutes, I got an ETA

The answer is hopefully in the next 4 weeks...

4 weeks is a bit long, but I guess its better then not knowing.

And yes, I understand 4 weeks 'could' turn into 5 or longer depending on how it goes.

Guess everyone is going to have to put up with daily outages for awhile longer.

Why do ISPs offer emails anyway? I never understood it.. it's way more work then it should be.

We don't have any known issues with the email system at the moment. I have checked my own personal account and can confirm I can login, send, and receive.
