| SBG6580 Event Log Help Can anyone explain the log or direct me to a source that does? I can't find anything online. I am curious what some of these items means. Thanks.

join:2002-03-06 | Missing BP config, is the modem was expecting to find some BP setting in the config but didn't receive it.
BP is baseline privacy, basically MAC layer encrypting between the CMTS and modem to prevent unauthorized modems, and most importantly your privacy.
Nothing to worry about in a log, as it most likely received it seconds later.
Anything where time not established, is just the modem booting. |

Thanks Jabbu, good to know. I did reboot on the 18th, so those four events are all related to that. I used to have pages of events but cleared it. I will update this thread if I ever get additional events. Thanks. |
