Most programs lost descriptions

Now, another weird bug, possibly with A30.

This morning, most of my programming has lost their descriptions. I have the titles and other info, but no description. Looking at the iGuide diagnostics, there was no purge, and not even the normal triage. But, the amount of available memory for guide data has jumped from around 800K last night, to over 3M now.

I hope it starts to fill back in, but even current programming doesn't have a description, and that info is sent nearly continuously.

Must be something system-wide, because I have the same issue.

In NJ I am seeing the same. Even power-cycled the Motorola DVR and still no show descriptions. Comcast has lost this info nationally.

According to the link posted by andyross, COMCAST/XFINITY is aware of the issue, and the engineering teams are looking into it as we speak. They don't have a resolution, or resolution time as of this posting.

Just another Apex bug. One of the many to still come. Motorola simply doesn't care anymore.

It has nothing to do with Motorola. Somebody with S25 (Cisco version) also has the problem.

This is most likely due to corrupt Guide data, or some master database got blanked out and it was passed on to the boxes.

So I wonder if this affects other cable providers that also use i-guide and/or the source of guide data?

I told Comcast this and they said I need to exchange my box. They had no comment when I told them it was a bug in the software once again wanting to setup a service call.

Searched Comcast webpage for phone number (they provide our phone sevice) to no avail. Found it on another site. Called them about no program descriptions and was told "they are working on it." No idea when it will be restored. Makes finding NCAA tournament games tough!

they're more focused on pushing the x1 out to areas that already have it than expanding it or working on anything else.

I have the same issue. The likely culprit is the TV Guide data. Something got wiped in a master somewhere. It should be as "simple" as restoring the db and then updating it. Of course, the replication out to all the systems, then to the customers' boxes may take some time.
