 | [DSL] 2wire 2701hg GATEWAY help configure please! i'll start this out letting you guys know i'm with crappy windstream the company that won't be fixing this latency issue we've been having for about 4 months now and i called and they said they won't be working on it anytime in 2013 and possibly won't start on it for years to come.. i read a article stating they are cutting back on growth expenses and thats what the operator said... that they won't be reaching our area anytime soon... so i guess i'm stuck with poor quality internet until someone else comes to town... which probably won't happen for a while.. i plan on moving within this year but until then i figure i should try and tweak my gateway and make it run as smooth as possible.
here are my specs.

for the firewall in advanced settings under security i have unchecked stealth mode, block ping, and strict udp session control...
for the inbound and outbound i have everything checked except for Netbios
and i unchecked everything under the attack detection section
so are their any tips tweaks or configurations i can make to run more smoothly or fast for gaming and internet surfing? thanks in advance! |
