max pl join:2009-03-22 Hyde Park, NY | Video Stutter Anyone notice a bunch of stutter on just about every channel this past week?
Cant even get through some shows because it cuts out every 10 seconds.
I'll try a reboot to see if it helps, but I never had this issue with the old boxes. |

|
 | reply to max pl I've been experiencing stuttering for the past week, but I use cable cards.
I may have to reboot my TV tuners I suppose. |
|
 | reply to max pl A reboot helps but it always returns after a week or so. It is very annoying to watch a show like "The Price is Right" and Drew will say - "And the actual retail price is...............". The video will then skip about 5 seconds. |
|
 | If you have an 8300/HD, can you rewind and reproduce the skipping in the same places, or is it streaming ok to the box and clean the second time around? |

max pl join:2009-03-22 Hyde Park, NY | reply to max pl i'm not sure what you mean by rewind. i dont have dvr and i'm not aware that its possible to rewind live tv. |
|
 | The 8300 and 8300HD are the DVR boxes. Was looking to see if you had that to test that. |

 | reply to max pl I just received emails from the mothership to all my optimum accounts:
"Dear Optimum Customer,
We understand that you might be experiencing your picture breaking up or freezing while watching some TV channels.
To correct this problem, simply re-boot your cable box by unplugging it from the wall outlet. Wait 5 seconds and plug the cable box back in to the outlet.
Thank you for your patience and help as we work to fix this issue."
It appears they've been getting a lot of calls regarding this issue. |
