Apple → Thunderbolt video passthru...

I have a Mac mini server at work, along with a Promise Pegasus R4 thunderbolt RAID box.

If I daisychain a Minidisplayport to DVI cable to the back of the Pegasus R4, I get no video on a Dell monitor.

If I hook it up directly to the minidisplayport/thunderbolt on the mini, the video shows on the Dell...

My question is, is the passthru with Thunderbolt devices only for displayport monitors, and it doesnt work when you use a miniDP to DVI adapter?

When connecting a Mini DisplayPort display or a display using a Mini DisplayPort adapter to a Thunderbolt peripheral (except as described in question 14), make sure the display is connected at the end of the Thunderbolt chain. You can use only one Mini DisplayPort device in the Thunderbolt chain."

Ah, so no dvi adapters will work... Thanks...
