| Pings Ever since i got home from vacation, our speeds have been all messed up. Pings are high but speeds are fairly time. When i did a trace route, I found that pinging the router was more then a mili-second and was actually 3 miliseconds. And conducting the ping from the routers ping was 112.926 ms 23.724 ms 30.239 ms. Streaming music is impossible. Can anyone help? |

Have you called into our help desk to have your line checked? Our techs can run a test over the phone to check your line and get some insight on the situation and then a repair ticket can be opened if needed.
You can also try a power cycle of your modem, sometimes after periods of no use a quick turn off turn on sequence will help reboot the modem.

The computer is connected via wireless. I will post them now.
And FTR Tech, I have done a power cycle and no help. Our modem never goes an hour without use, either.  |

| I just chatted with them and they gave me lots of information. Their new online techs is really dandy!
They said that from doing a line test, they found that the DSLAM we are on, it's oversold. They asked if we can be switched and they said it wouldn't help as they are all oversold. They said they are IN THE PROCESS of upgrading our CO with ADSL2+ and more DSLAMs. We already got the fiber install. |
