2 edits | [iO] Strange DVR Recording First, My wife set our DVR to tape "Barefoot Contessa" at 12:30 and 4:00 pm. Each episode is a half hour. Since I have the new guide I lengthed the recording time by two minutes, since it cuts off early. Imagine my surprise when I saw this. And yes, it did tape for 2 hr. 38 min.
Also, when the 4:30 episode taped, it automatically turned to the food network and I couldn't change channels because the DVR noted I was taping two programs when I was only taping one. When I went to the DVR guide it showed I was taping only one. I scrolled up and down seeing if there was something else being taped then went back to the show. All of a suddden the record button on the DVR disappeared and showed it was not being taped, but the channel guide. When the episode ended I went back to the DVR listings and sure enough, it showed it taped for 2 hr. 38 min. but when I played it back it only taped two minutes. This has been happening since we got the new guide, but I don't want to say it's directly related. Perhaps I should post this in Yahoo and see if Wilt can look into it.
