set up wireless router with new wow service

I am having WOW internet & telephone service installed this week & was advised that I could use my own router for wireless to save $5.00 per month. I have a Netgear wndr3400 & was wondering if someone could explain to me the steps to set it up with the WOW modem. Will I be able to access the WOW modem, in order to put it in bridge mode? TIA, any help is appreciated it.

You'll save that $5 by using your own modem and not your own router. Buy a Motorola 6121 modem and use that. Then connect your wireless router to it if you want to save that money.

Since I use a WOW modem, I really don't know this part. But I would think you would have your service activated by the tech with a WOW modem. You would then have to replace it with your own modem and then get a WOW csr to activate it. And finally you would need to return the WOW modem. You might be able to do all this while the tech is still there.

I have to use a WOW modem since I have their phone service too. After the tech set-up my service, I just connected the wireless router to it with the ethernet cable and followed the router's instructions. You would do the same thing using your own modem. Very easy to do.
