[Southeast] help me understand please

i have been experiencing a unplayable lag gaming on FIOS internet with my PS3 lately. My router security log shows event type: rate limit; service suppressed. I get several different #types and yet to find on the internet or manual any cross reference to a description (any # code {blue under line} identification list please). also the ip address i circled, i question if they are a hack; I'm here in Florida and the ip tracks to France. should i report this? info below

You're being probed. The router is doing it's job and dropping the message.

The type[43] refers to an ICMP message, although type 43 is undefined.

Welcome to the Internet. The Chinese (and others, including people in the US) are constantly probing you.

Hence that's why a firewall is VERY important. They probe you all the time. No matter who your ISP is. Just be proactive and prevent them from attacking your system.

Thank you for your replies
More Fiber and dmine45.
The link was what I was looking for kudos from me More Fiber.
I would like to stop this probing if I can; Preferable from IP abuse reporting if plausible.
When using the PS3 now I turn on/off until finished
Disable wifi
Firewall from maximum to minimum setting
DMZ on(redundant warning ignored)
Quality of service: enable in/out bound Home network and coax broadband
Reboot

Firewall/ port-forwarding (is always enabled)

443 should be opened; I added port ranges 61016-61023 haven’t tried it yet; prior to getting below blocks

(don’t understand what Amazon has to do with gamming) (may block Amazon ip range see what happens)
AMAZON-EC2-USWEST-N-CALI-1
Apr 16 01:46:41 2013 Inbound Traffic Blocked - Service All Traffic: TCP 184.169.182.184:443->192.168.1.137:61020 on eth1

AKAMAI (needed service Sony uses and blocked several times with above port range)
Apr 16 01:46:32 2013 Inbound Traffic Blocked - Service All Traffic: TCP 23.13.145.215:443->192.168.1.137:61017 on eth1

Maybe Amazon has some ads in-game?

You can't stop people from probing. They launch the packet, your firewall stops it. Trouble with going DMZ to your PS3 is you bypass NAT and rely on PS3 internal software to stay immune to whatever.

Your first screenshot shows traffic to 192.168.1.137:445 (assuming that's your DMZ'd port). Probably legit.

Thank you birdfeedr for your reply, I understand the risk for exposing PS3. Although I’m concerned about the saved data on the PS3, it is more important to me fixing my game play stutter if possible. Sony even recommends settings so I will blame them.

Ignore my first screenshot; this is the screenshots with newest settings if it helps.
