What century is Charter living in? For most of the rest of us it's the 21st century. A century where we have things like the Internet.
People are already abandoning broadcast media in droves, especially for "news" sources, because that industry can't wrap its collective head around the idea that the horse-draw buggy days are coming to an end. The smart thing for companies like Charter would be to find a way to compete, rather than engage in a futile effort to stifle.
