More TSA antics

The agent, Chris Yves Dabel, discovered the (pepper spray) device at the Terminal 2 security checkpoint and tried to determine if it was real, a source told The Post.

He told Port Authority cops that he “found the canister on the floor and thought it was a laser pointer.”

“They were playing around with it,” said one Kennedy Airport official.

The screener sprayed five other TSA agents around him, sending all six to Jamaica Hospital and halting security checks at Kennedy for at least 15 minutes, police said.

We all know pepper spray canisters look amazingly like laser pointers.

Please don't look into laser (pointer) with remaining eye.

Please don't spray remaining pepper spray into TSA agents

Sent them to the hospital? What pussies.

Do TSA screeners not get sprayed once a year? They must have thought they were dying, if they have never experienced it before!

Just another reason to look at the TSA screeners as one might a Walmart person...not the brightest bunch on the tree. Talk about the lack of security! The $$$ that go to these people boggles my mind.

Sounds to me like it's time for the TSA to integrate tougher exercises such as CBR/NBC gas chamber drills in their training schedule, huh?

Remember, we are talking about the TSA here. The TSA is theater, not security. How many actors in military films do you think go through even the most basic training to qualify to pretend to be soldiers? The store dick at your neighborhood Walmart store is better trained than a TSA actor.

While doing some network maintenance at the Nashville airport, I can remember seeing someone who appeared to be trying to pry open a restricted access door (with tarmac access). I pointed him out to a TSA "agent", and I was told that I needed to find a Metro cop because physical security at the airport was not the TSA's job (obviously their only job is to be goofballs and harass passengers).

After I did get the attention of a Metro cop, I found out that the person (an Egyptian national FWIW) was an airport employee, but his job did not require (or permit) him to have tarmac access. I don't know what happened after he was escorted away.
