1 edit | Ultra t.v. question Hi, So i upgraded to ultra tv and the gateway wow gave me is horrible as a router, it seems to have trouble with forwarding ports and such. Also, it seems to be messing with my wireless music systems. My question is can i use another router as a router or in bridge mode or something so that i can use it to forward ports and such. |

| I disabled as much as I felt comfortable disabling on the Ultra gateway and have used my own router since day 1 for wireless and network management (port forwarding, wireless security, etc.). About a year now with Ultra and never had a problem. |

Yeah I just took an old router and am doing that also. Can i turn the wireless network off or do the media player need thast to function? |

| I am fairly certain the media players get all ther data via MOCA over the cable. If they used the wireless, I expect folks would be having all sorts of issues with them if they weren't close enough to the gateway.
