[Internet] Access SBG6580 to turn off firewall

Quick question,... I'm needing to update all my phones in the house to the latests ios version and the download is always corrupt. I've read on the mac support site that one suggestion is to turn off firewall. So my question is, can I access my BH issued SBG6580 cable modem/wireless router to turn off the firewall temporarily, to download and see if the corruption happens. I just want ot get the latest update from Apple and then turn the firewall back on. How can I get the login for the modem/router?

Thanks,

-Jason

This is the factory default login for that model. It might not work because I think BHN puts/pushes a config file that changes the pw to something unique for security. If that's the case, then you will have to post your ip address in the direct forum and then BHNtechXpert can pull it for you. Or you can call in and they can look it up.

The firewall state will not fix this but I can fix it. Open a direct forums thread, include your IP and I will get it fixed today.

Goto to our main forum page and right at the top where the threads are listed you will see BRIGHT HOUSE DIRECT. You must first register here before you can enter there. Once registered click that tab and post the information I requested. Once I get it allow about 2O minutes. You will know its done when your modem reboots.
