You didn't say anything about:
your operating system (Windows-Apple-Linux)? which version?
is your problem with Windstream or a different email provider?
are you trying to use web mail or a client (Windows Live Mail-Thunderbird-other)?
do you know for certain that you have unread mail in your inbox?
was it working before and then stopped working?
do you receive email from persons unknown to you? if yes, did you click on a web link in that email?
are you a novice computer user?
Without more information, you're not going to get much help... if any.
