 | [TV] Closed Caption I have the Cisco 8742 Boxes and I have them connected using a HDMI cable. I have never been able to get Closed Caption to work. The BHN Tech who installed the Box was unable to get it to work we tried many of the CC setting without success. Step by step instructions will be appreciated.
Is there a setting to make it CC come on only when you Mute the sound? |

 | For whatever reason, using IE10....I could not get any further than selecting the DVR Model, next window said I had to turn on Cookies.....and even though I had IE10 set to Default, and it accepts Cookies, I set it to Lowest to accept all cookies and still got the message I needed to Turn on Cookies. I used Chrome....and got to the article...thanks.
Here's the problem, my BHN Remote is set to operate TV features off the BHN Cable button...ie....TV's Volume and MUTE (not the cable Box). So CC works when I select ON...but when I select ON WITH MUTE it does not work because its the TV's mute that is activated and not the Cable Box.
I also tried to use the TV's CC but it comes up NOT AVAILABLE and I am guessing it is because I am using a HDMI connection (SamSung LED TV)
Suggestions? I thought maybe programing the 8742 Code into an used button, ie...DVD....and use that key when I want to MUTE the DVR....but I don't think the code would be accepted...... |

 | Any Update? I did try to program a Cable Box code for my 8742 into the DVR and VCR Button, but the codes would not accept....
Realize I could remove the code that locks the TV commands in the CABLE Button, but then you would need to shift between CABLE and TV to adjust the TV's Volume.... |
