[Line Problem] Disconnect/reconnect throughout the day

This has been occurring for about 3 weeks. I've had three calls open. They have rebuilt my connection three times, increasing my up/down speeds.
I have an Actiontec modem. I use a single 4 wire twisted pair line coming into the house carrying two phone lines. The DSL modem line taps off before the jack with the filter so its effectively direct wired.
Internally I use the Actiontec's DHCP server out to a 1gb switch and a Buffalo DD-WRT access point
The line in the yard has been repaired a couple of times.
When the connection drops I lose the internet light only on the modem. I've seen it drop 3 times this morning - within an hour. logs show the disconnect, normally a '15' error. I'm at my wits end. Any ideas. I'll buy a new modem but they say its fine...

ive had the same problem since the first week of march. i too use an actiontec modem. the problem started while using a netgear n300, i got the att 7550 and that worked for a few days then it started again. my latest is with a new actiontec modem gateway. im still having disconnects and reconnects about twice a day on some days to every other day.

i filed a report to have a repair guy come out to fix it. he went through everything from my computer, outside box to the pole ther lines are on. he couldnt find anything wrong with my lines at all. he said i needed to drop my speed to 3.0 and see if that helps. i did, and it didnt help. i moved back to 6.0.

im in kentucky and other people that live within 10 miles of me are having the same issue.

id like to know whats going on. its very annoying. after reading the article about att cutting pots/dsl im now prepared to get cable. i hate to but the friends of mine who have cable say its very reliable. cost goes up about $11 a month over what im paying att but my speed nearly doubles.

Mine started then too - what's worst is I work from home using a VPN. I drop that, have to close everything, reconnects and reopen everything. I will have to move to cable if they can't get this fixed.

today at work ive asked all my co-workers about their dsl and all of them say they are having the same issue that started around the 1st of march. several, like myself, have tried new modems and spent time with tech support and even had technicians to our homes. no one at att is acknowledging anything is wrong. if anyone finds out anything please post it here so we might get this fixed. ive had dsl for 5yrs and never a problem till now.

Same here...We went for about 6 months with nominal speed/disconnect problems, but about March 1, the frequent disconnects and slow downs increased. It seems to coincide here with some additional fiber work in the area.
