Finally got some time at home to replace the boot discussed in the above thread. I inspected the other jacks and I'll be damned if they are not cracked now too.

Only difference being the materials are subjected to roof temperatures. I'm impressed at the ingenuity, looks solid to me. |

Would caulking survive the heat, cold, weather, etc? Maybe some Henry's roof mastic or comparable if he were to choose that route. That is a really cool collar. Maybe the manufacture has a recommendation or preference regarding sealing materials. |
