 | GoDaddy Servers Blocked by AT&T or...? I am an AT&T DSL customer, have been for years. For the record I am a network knowledgeable person.
Since Tuesday 3/26/2013 I have been unable to connect to any sites connected to my GoDaddy hosting account behind an "AT&T" connection. Once again I said from "BEHIND AN AT&T CONNECTION". A TRACE ROUTE from my computer clearly shows an AT&T server FAILING! GoDaddy has confirmed that my ip is not blacklisted. I can see my sites when using a proxy browser to bypass AT&T's servers.
The trace route from my AT&T connection gives out at the 7th hop when checked. EVERY TIME!
AT&T DSL customer service has been giving me the run around for 4 days now with promises of call backs etc. As of yet I am still unable to update any of my sites.
If anyone who has a friend or colleague in the AT&T DSL 2nd or 3rd tear tech department PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ask them to PM me so I can get this resolved by someone other than a script following agent.
FOR THE RECORD: A Google search revealed this is NOT AN UNCOMMON issue. So with any luck I to will be able to find an ACTUAL TECH SUPPORT SUPPORT PERSON to fix this.
Thank you in advance for your exemplary customer service. |

| Unfortunately, this is not the AT&T Direct forum, and nobody posting here can do much about routing problems.
You should post your trouble request, including a trace route to Godaddy showing the hanging router (not server), to the AT&T Direct forum. -- Norman ~Oh Lord, why have you come ~To Konnyu, with the Lion and the Drum |

 | Thank you. As I have a DSL account I thought this was the place. I will repost in the other thread. |

Can you just post the IP of the site here? |

| reply to DSLTroubles said by DSLTroubles :Thank you. As I have a DSL account I thought this was the place. I will repost in the other thread. Most of the posters are end users, such as you and I are. Most times, the troubles are DSL related, and there is a degree of end user applied techniques, which some of us have learned, which can be useful; and sometimes the nature of DSL just is what it is.
Dennis is one of two, or three actual AT&T staff who monitor this forum; unofficially, I believe. And,while your problem is not DSL related, that doesn't mean this isn't the "Go To" place to get help. But while I can offer specific, technical techniques to apply for DSL connection troubles, based on ten years of ADSL service with PacBell/SBC/AT&T, and two more of ADSL2+ with Sonic.net (my current ISP), routing issues are beyond me capability.
Do register at the site, and work with Dennis ; he does have the ability, as an AT&T insider, to figure out what might be wrong with the routing, and fix it. -- Norman ~Oh Lord, why have you come ~To Konnyu, with the Lion and the Drum |

| I see a lot of interesting hostnames associated with the IP address 97.74.144.82 »ip.robtex.com/97.74.144.82.html

That is perhaps the biggest problem with using shared hosting; when one host gets blocked, everyone using the same server may get blocked too. Since Comcast doesn't seem to be blocking that server (and they are one of the biggest netnannies), perhaps it won't be long before AT&T and GoDaddy resolve your blocked site problem. -- A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

 | WOW!
At first glance I only see one of mine listed in there. It is not one of the xxx sites.
Might I ask what tool or website you used to produce that read out? Very nice and helpful.
Thanks again. |

Thanks again. As I previously posted, the url is: »ip.robtex.com/97.74.144.82.html and the site itself would be »robtex.com/
I find it to be a very useful site for troubleshooting routing, DNS, and hosting anomalies.
Their reverse hostname lookups for shared hosting sites using a common IP address is not always complete, but considering the complexity of obtaining that information, they do a pretty good job. -- A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
