have anybody used Ares p2p? I hear it is on a "decentralized" network. Any thoughts?

No he means the Ares offshoot of the Gnutella network.See Wikipedia.»en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ar ··· s_Galaxy

I used to use it a decade ago. Don't know if it has much of a user base now since all the other Gnutella networks lost out to the growth of torrents. I think there are a bunch of scam sites trying to sell a paid version of the client. I would not pay for it.

Thanks for the clarification Samphar! Being in telecom, and the industry having so many acronyms, p2p can also have the Point to Point connotation.
