[Cooling] VGA Cooling/GPU Cooling

I was thinking of putting this in Hardware, but this is really a modding question, so I'll post it here.

I'm interested trying a VGA Cooler kit, in order to reduce the noise on my 7970, I'm wondering if anyone here has tried it, and, if there are some of these systems that will do a standard 2 slot GPU space, reason being is that I'm planning on popping this in a compact HTPC system.

My current card's temps are fine, I'm getting about 66c under full load... but it sounds like a jet plane, so I'd like to fix that.

The two kits I've seen so far are:

Which I'm pretty sure is wider than 2 Slots, and:

Which again is wider than 2 slots...

At this point I'm open to suggestions for noise reduction, the card itself has adequate temps, it's just effin' loud to keep them that way with the stock cooling setup.

If the temps are OK, consider forcing a manual fan profile that caps it at something like 65% fan speed. Just do a burn-in to ensure the card doesn't go critical or anything...

Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.

I'll try that, IIRC it's still pretty loud at 65%, but my profiles in Afterburner are probably set higher than that.

To further the topic, what's your take on aftermarket GPU cooling?

Quick update:

Setting the fan at 65% gives me a constant temp of 72c after 30mins of 100% GPU usage, so that's an improvement for sure.

Seeing as it's factory clocked at 1010MHz, and it absolutely destroys any game I can throw at it, at 1080p; downclocking is a distinct option at this point, as I don't think there will be any noticeable performance loss.
