When you have Internet Fibe and TV the modem is synced at a higher profile to assure watching TV doesn't reduce the Internet speed but this additional bandwidth isn't available for Internet. For example my line is synched at 48mbps and I can record 3 HD chanel and 1 SD and I still have the full 25mbps for the Internet. In other words the additional 23mpbs is reserved for TV streams only.
This is no longer the case, Bell has introduced new speed policies to limit the customers speed regardless of their profile. -- Opinions expressed are my own, and may or may not reflect those of my employers or any other BCE company or division.
