1 edit | Is billing accuracy possible with Bell? $%?&/$%! First bill is missing 8$ of package credits, I call, they acknowledge the error and make the correction. The email confirmation says only 6.96$ credit. What? I call back and they make the correction again and confirm the new amount and also confirm I can go ahead and pay the updated amount.
Second bill the 8$ of package credit is missing again and now the 8$ from the first bill is now listed as unpaid. I call and they say sorry can't give you that 8$ rebate although it is detailed in the order confirmation. I ask for a supervisor. He is not available and will call you back . 48 hours later still no call back......
Time on the phone: 1 hour 35 minutes Frustration level: ?&*($?&*/%(%?&*/ |

Re: Is billing accuracy possible with Bell? $%?&/$%! I've been with them for 3 invoices now, not one remotely resembles the other.
My last one was quite drama filled to top it off (they tried to remove my free PVR credit).
Can't wait for invoice number 4 |

Supervisor not available? Wait.
Transfer you to another department? No, conference them in.
etc.
The rep wants you off the phone ASAP. Don't give them an easy out. |

IIgsPremium join:2002-10-05 Montreal, QC kudos:1 | reply to BigWater Hah, I've actually had to call on my mother's behalf EVER SINGLE MONTH (no exaggeration!) for the past year to correct Bell billing errors. She grew tired of it, understandably, so I stepped in. I used to work in the telecom industry, so I know who to speak with and how to handle the situation. Oh, did I mention the billing errors are not just for one account? Two residences, one business and a cell phone. All have consistently have billing errors.
I'm now at the point where I'm utterly exhausted fighting with Bell constantly (just got off the phone with them now as a matter of fact) and realize the only solution is to cancel all her Bell related services.
I won't even get into the nightmare I've had where Bell has arbitrarily pulled my phone and Internet 6 times now between September 2012 and March 2013. The reason? Database errors. Even contacted the executive office, they do NOT give a damn nor interested in investigating how or why...
Sorry to say, but Bell Canada is a disease. The only cure is to cut them off. |

vitesse join:2002-12-17 Saint-Jean-Sur-Richelieu, QC | reply to BigWater It seem to always take 3-4 billing cycle to have the right price, so a problem with the first invoice is normal. Just pay everything they ask and hope they will give you credit the next billing cycle.
If this is not what you want, change ISP. |

 | reply to BigWater Just got a call from the Bell Customer Relations Center.
They tried to sell me the same crap "you can't get this credit bla bla"
I told them I don't care what the credit is for, I simply want to pay what I was promised in the first place.
They fixed the credit I was supposed to have in the first place and reduced my montly bill by an additional 5$ for one year + a one time credit of 50$ to excuse them self of this exceptional error (they say)
I'll wait for the next bill to say victory. |

| reply to BigWater No, it is not possible. The most recent period I was with Bell for 15 months. The first six months were suppose to be free, so that should have been a no brainer for them to get the invoice right. It wasn't. Almost every month I was on the phone with them. They NEVER actually correct charges, they just offer a credit or such correct for the previous mistake. Of course that never quite works out the way they say they will. I haven't received my final bill from that yet. But even if it is exactly what I expect, I will have over paid them about $100. I will only be that close because I called up and complained so often. Note: The initial person you talk to will never make any corrections. Just hit that button on the phone indicating you are calling to cancel your account. Then you at least have a chance...
Of course, I'll have no leverage for the final bill, so when they bill me more than I expect, I'll just be SOL. |
