This is unacceptable Rogers

You can probably guess what tier I'm on.

Like, I'm not asking for 150Mb 24/7, but at least let me browse the net.

When the download speed is that low, it usually means its some technical issue and not node congestion; so its not a issue of having 150mbps 24/7 because the reality is that rogers is in fact aiming to provide speeds greater than 150mbps 24/7 and at least in my area they do.

Believe me they are not cutting corners in the internet department.

Can you post a traceroute to google.ca; it will give at least an indication of where the problem lies. It might just be an issue with a rogers main router.

The last time my connection looked like that I had to reboot my router. Have you tried that?

Well, the speedtest.net stats you posted says it's "Faster than 54% of Canada".

I think you should write them a thank you letter.

I only get the low speeds around 8-11PM. I have rebooted the modem and tried different speedtest.net servers. Off peek I get these speeds...

We'll see what happens tonight.

Make sure you also do a traceroute when it slows down.

Speeds aren't too bad today... Should I even contact rogers about this?

You should contact rogers about this, the 2nd hop is having issues; there are random increasees in RTT at the second hop (the HFC Node), max it should go up to is about 15ms. Yours are way too high. The randomness is what I'm worried about because typical node congestion has somewhat constant increases in RTT at the 2nd hop. You really need to have rogers look into this.

I'm on the Express tier 25/2 and I haven't had any issues with my speeds and I actually have been getting double the download speed advertised since I got the package 2 months ago.

Everybody doesn't need to post their results from a working connection

The OP is obviously having an isolated issue
