| beats by Dre pill vs. jawbone jambox i'm looking to purchase a wireless/bluetooth speaker. I've heard a jambox before, and I know they have BIG one, but today I heart a beats pill and was impressed.
does anyone here have one or the other (or both), if so what are your opinions? -- | map your city

KilroyPremium,MVM join:2002-11-21 Ann Arbor, MI | I picked up a The House of Marley Bluetooth Chant Portable Audio System from points at work. I'm impressed with the sound. I've only seen good reviews on it. I don't use it a lot, as I bought it for travel and I have other "permanent" systems for day to day use.
Read the review on the non-bluetooth version The House of Marley Chant Portable Audio System.
You can't tell from the pictures, but it is about the size of a 12 ounce can. The sound out of it is great and the speaker itself is a work of art. -- Progress isn't made by early risers. It's made by lazy men trying to find easier ways to do something. ¯ Robert A. Heinlein |

| reply to pcdebb I have the Big Jambox, and am strongly considering getting the Beats Pill. When the Pill first came out the few reviews that I read gave the Pill an edge in sound quality. I was never impressed by the regular Jambox, but the Big Jambox is nice. When I've demo'd the Pill, to me the sound is richer, more dynamic and not so unnecessarily bass heavy.
I will probably end up getting the Pill to compliment the Jambox at some point, If you get one or the other or both, do yourself a favor and check Amazon or eBay. Youll end up saving about $40 over MSRP. -- Dale Jr, Riding Daddys Coattails Since February 18, 2001!

quote: I bought this product thinking it would handle bass well. It does not. I thought it would project sound well. It does not. I thought it would perform superiorly to the little Jambox. It does not. Even the tiny Logitec UE speaker is superior. I will take it back to the store today.

| You seriously didnt post that, did you? Would anyone actually rely on one sole singular review posted on Apples website? Apple, as in the company that caters to those who are less than technologically inclined, whose average user base is utterly clueless when it comes to anything that plus into a wall and doesnt understand technology at all?
Go to Amazon and read the reviews to get a variety. Most of them are fairly positive. The Pill has NFC capabilities, which IMO, works in its favor. Since Apple is constantly behind the times and doesnt support NFC in their iCrap, the one reviewer wouldnt know anything about that. Since the one reviewer more than likely paired it with an Apple product, he should realize that Apple products naturally have poor sound quality when compared to the competition. If the guy connected it to a device from HTC or Sony, it likely would have sounded worlds better. -- Dale Jr, Riding Daddys Coattails Since February 18, 2001!

I have some rewards certs to cash in. I dont care for being bass heavy, which i what you get from jambox. the sound from that little pill was awesome, very awesome, and i'm leaning heavy towards it -- | map your city

| reply to pcdebb Just picked up the Pill today, very nice sounding speaker. When comparing the same song back to back on both the Pill and Big Jambox, I stand by my original observation that the pill produces an overall cleaner, more dynamic sound. For a company that is known for bass, the Pill surprisingly lacking in that department, but in no way do I mean that as a bad thing. They both have their place. -- Dale Jr, Riding Daddys Coattails Since February 18, 2001!

| i think that's on purpose. it has a clean sound from what I can tell, but not heavy on base, and I like that. When I'm doing chores around the house I like to crank on the music, some good R&B or Jazz will sound great -- | map your city | |

I will say it has alot of bass in it, so I was able to tweak the settings (since I use poweramp alot) to give it just the right sound. everything else sounds great by default. it's been rocking all night for me -- | map your city
