VMedia-We Heard You Part 1

Hi

Some of the feedback we have received expressed opposition to VMedia charging a usage fee for each additional box on top of the cost of the box. We heard you and we have dropped it, with the qualification that if usage really starts to bite because the market so loves our product that two or three VBox' will be humming concurrently in homes for hours at a time during peak, we might have to revisit this. But thanks for the candid comments.

You might then want to revisit your costs since apparently it will cost you to have multiple receivers on. Many families right now will have 2-3 TVs on during peak times and it's only going to get worse when on demand catches up with live.

To that point.. is it possible to have an app that can run on a boxee or gaming console?

You mean a VMedia app? For sure we already have one for our OTT multicultural channels, a thing of beauty. Unfortunately our channel rights agreements don't allow us to distribute that way yet in Canada. The future is amazing once we get past provincialism.

That's great George!

For "We Heard You Part 2", will you be posting a video demonstration of the hardware and box UI

I just added a second box to my upcoming install and they mentioned the extra cost per box, so it hasn't percolated to customer service yet...

Also, prices listed for the Internet access appear to be for Rogers country only. I'm in Cogeco-land, which I just found out is higher priced for slower speeds (20 meg, $56) but at least still unlimited.

I know it's been discussed elsewhere, but any approximate ETA on PVR service?

George,

I would love to be on the list when you expand a bit further this way into Brantford. I am itching to switch TV providers VERY soon, and would love to send the business your way! I know of at least 5 others in my area who would sign up too.

Thanks.

We need Quebec availability (internet first, tv second), your setup fee is too high it should be $49. Maybe split the setup in two, TV $49 and Internet $49 ?

Yes, made it available in Québec! I switch to acanac last year for their upcoming iptv (zazeen) and now, months after delays, zazeen is Still un available ! If Vmedia Cable Internet and IPTV service comes to Sherbrooke,QC soon, i'll switch to Vmedia for Internet and for TV!

Please create a French Basic for Québec
