[Rant] Facebook automatically opening to inbox

Is it just me, or is Facebook automatically opening to the inbox when logging in? This is annoying and I want to change it back to the way it was.

Mine is opens to my News Feed, as normal.

What do you mean by "inbox"?

The message center. As soon as I log in it automatically redirects to »www.facebook.com/messages without me doing anything. I have to click on the home button to get to my news feed.

Ahhh, ok. Nope, mine isn't doing that. Which is not to say it might not START doing it. FB is so glitchy.

Edit: yesterday one of my friends posted on FB that she couldn't OPEN her messages for some odd reason. Another example of glitchiness (is that a word?).

Still no problem here. Has anyone tried cleaning their cache/cookies?

Yep. I tried on several different browsers. It's happening on IE9, Firefox and SR Ware Iron.

It's got to be a FB glitch. Don't know what the answer is though, other than to ride it out and hope they fix it. I know they've been making a lot of changes lately.

Rather lengthy discussion here: »www.facebook.com/help/community/···12040285

But a couple of users in the thread have tried adjusting their Facebook URL and it seems to step around this issue.

One user suggests using: »www.facebook.com/?ref=logo

and another suggests: »www.facebook.com/?ref=tn_tnmn

Not sure what either of those are meant to do. The URL I've been using for a while is »www.facebook.com/?sk=h_chr which forces it to the newsfeed in "most recent" order.

Looks like they finally fixed it (at least for my account). I just logged in twice and it worked correctly each time. Who knows what they did, but at least it seems to be OK for now.
