I have a Samsung Galaxy Proclaim with Straight Talk (ST), this is a CMDA-V phone and operates on the Verizon Wireless (VW) network. I have had this phone since September 2012 with no issues whatsoever. Last night I was talking with a friend and she had to go, we hung up and I returned to watching TV (Game of Thrones ) anyway the phone rebooted randomly which I just happen to catch out the corner of my eye. When it came back on it would not connect to the Cell network at all, where the signal strength meter is supposed to be I have a circle with a diagonal line through it (think Ghost Busters symbol without the ghost). I was rooted so I re-flashed the root process which did not help, I then performed a factory reset, again no effect. I finally gave in and called ST and after thirty minutes of doing all the above procedures over for them I was told to call back during regular business hours because they needed to call Verizon. I called back a little while ago and went through all the above procedures once more and finally elevated to supervisor support which informed me that VW was having a nationwide issue and that I should have my service back by 6pm EST. Does any of this make sense to anyone? Anyone else having similar issues? Any input? -- malo periculosam libertatem quam quietum servitium
