 | Amazon Streaming I have a Sony LCD with home theater. Audio works great (5.1), but for some reason, I can only get stereo when watching Amazon streaming video. I've had my connections checked and everything is correct. Is it true that Amazon can't do 5.1 from the television, only from the PC? That's what Sony says, but AI can't believe that would be right. Anyone else with a similar experience? Thanks, Rachael. |

| In the case of Netflix, it really depends on the platform's app and what level of API was used to create that app (and/or possibly the costs of licensing the newer API -- I only suspect this but I don't know for certain).
Some platforms are perfect capable of handling 5.1 sound from Netflix but the version of the Netflix in place is not.
Re: Amazon streaming -- I meant to look into this last but forgot; I'll do some poking around tonight if someone hasn't answered it already. -- ♬ Dragon of good fortune struggles with the trickster Fox ♬ |

Per the FAQ, scroll back up to the top of the page, and on the left, navigate to your particular device/model and see if 5.1 audio is supported. -- ♬ Dragon of good fortune struggles with the trickster Fox ♬ |
