 | Price Question After chatting with customer service for like an hour, I got a promotional one year price of 155.00 for Blast (50 down and 10 up), Digital Preferred HD (including HBO, Starz, Showtime and Max). I also have 3 cable boxes and 1 HD box. They said it would normally be over $200.00. Does that sound like a good deal? Next year when the promotion runs out, I could try again. Thanks for any input. Rachael. |

 | reply to Rachael Sounds good. Might have to pay 3-months full after your promo is up before asking for another. YMMV. |

Rachael. Sounds like a very good deal. But as usual, the problem comes when the promotion period is over. Then the price goes up drastically unless you downgrade some of your package.
Those who can keep doing well are those with options. A friend is covered by Comcast and Verizon Fios. When a promotion with one company expires, he either switches to the other, or threatens to, to keep his deal. He has done both things the last few years. I wish I had an option other than Comcast. I have little leverage to hold over them to get better deals. |
