remote access for 2wire 3812V

Does anyone know a way to setup remote access to the 3812V?
It appears that AT&T has removed the remote access tab under services.

Remote to a LAN device and use a browser to access the GUI.

I did this once. I used a router with dd-wrt to set up an ssh server which I then port forwarded on the 2Wire.
