Franchise fee Just wondering if anyone else is seeing increased franchise fees. Mine was 2.65 in December. Raised to 3.53 for the first three months of this year and now is raised to 4.65. I know its not comcast that sets that fee but it seems kind of strange for a 3 month increase than followed up with another increase. Im going to try to kick some sand in our township supervisors face and was just wondering if other people are experiencing the same thing?

As you said, it is your local city/county/township that sets the rate. I have never heard of it being that low. I believe, by federal law, it can't be any higher than 5 percent, and in the 20 years I have been in the industry, I have never seen anyone below that. Feel lucky that they have kept it that low for you.

reply to rody_44 I don't have a franchise fee here. Franchise authority decided we pay enough without a fee.
